This was posted a few days ago by Liz and this is something that I struggle with all the time. I'm going on 30 and I feel like my life is just not where I want it to be. Reading this helped me realize that where I am in life is where I am suppose to be. I don't have my career yet, I'm not married, I don't have my own place but it is ok. My time will come. I want Sherlock to be kind to Mycroft and a douche to John (once).

Because isn’t it HEARTBREAKING how in his mind palace Sherlock KNOWS that Mycroft will always be there no matter what and fears that John will let him alone (i mean it HEARTBREAKING that he fears John will leave him, but somehow it isn’t a sign for an healthy relationship imo), and how it’s translating itself in real life, aka Sherlock being horrible to his brother yet somehow still walking on eggshelves around John ? I mean, the awful truth is that you know someone loves you when you can be awful to them and they will take it anyway, right. so i don’t know what’s hurts the most, that sherlock years after still doesn’t believe john can take it all, or the way he’s treating Mycroft because he knows he can take it. So yeah, even if JUST FOR ONCE, i would like for Sherlock to say something NICE to Mycroft (because even if they can take it, you should treasure the ones who love you)  and be a total douche to John without feeling the need to apologise later on (even though it’s bad because of course i know  you should apologise when you behave like a douche).

(PS : Obviously i’m talking OFF CASE (so hounds and the damn fall do not count) , because 1) sherlock believes EVERYTHING is excusable for a case and 2) he believes john stays with him because he is providing THE THRILL OF THE CHASE stuff and might stay anyway as long as he is providing him with adrenaline kicks (and yes this is seriously heartbreaking too))
