Due to the US Governments shutdown, over 95% of NASA workers have been hugely affected, with even NASAs website being shut down due to lack of funds.

The Army however, has had less than 2% of its soldiers affected even minorly and weapons production is still going just as fast as before the shutdown.

It turns out that there will always be money for war, but science takes a backseat in any situation, despite being far more important.

The world depends on science, and to quote Carl Sagan - "sooner or later, this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces."

The people need to know. There will always be money for war; so why won't there always be money for science?
