(1/2) Madeleine’s gotta pay the price eventually when the time comes, cause it’s either, the kids AND her, lose their titles and be regular citizens as she wanted, or she’s gonna have to obey them without the public getting even more angry at her. Cause I mean, I know she wanted a regular life after marrying Chris (and doesn’t like being in the spotlight), but it seems she doesn’t realize that, she can’t have it both ways, you know?

(2/2) Like, she can’t make a sacrifice if she wants true privacy to be a normal person? Cause I mean, Chris is still rich for being in finance right? I don’t know if she’ll lose her patronages but she can still do things related to charity if she wishes. Like she can have so many options, right?

The thing is that Madeleine’s life doesn’t have to change even a little bit. She doesn’t technically have to give up her titles and she already doesn’t receive an appanage. Her life won’t change, just her children and they’re too little to understand. I love Madde and I would love to see her come back to Sweden. I also respect that might not be the right choice for her family. But this situation isn’t working. They are bound by the Constitution, the most important governing document in the country. And given Madde has not had the best reputation over the last 10 years or so- despite being a smart, warm person and a big potential asset to the family- this dithering doesn’t help!! I understand it must be difficult for her because she loves Sweden and she loves her family, but this isn’t doing Sweden or her family any favours.
