Back at it again after a teeny break. Now studying the significance of "place" in the creative process. In this class, the place is the Left Bank of Paris. We'll be reading James Joyce, Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway, and James Baldwin. My focus will be Baldwin and other African American expatriates such as Richard Wright writing in Paris around that time.
