I've got an analogy as well! ADHD is like driving a vehicle with a manual transmission while everyone around you is driving automatic. They just assume you drive automatic as well and don't understand why you can't just shift gears without taking extra steps. And if you only do things the way the automatic drivers tell you, you stall out and then feel really embarrassed about how you can't shift gears like they can.

Okay but

Travis having Shame Bangs that he will immediately grow back out. Like, Travis' whole relationship with responsibility and punishment and how backwards it all is for him. Like, I think he's been alive and disconnected from the consequences of his actions for so long that it's looped back on itself. He's in a constant state of punishment in the form of his immortality and his transformations, so like real punishment is just this novelty to him, but at the same time he actually cares about things now.

Oof you’re so right. I didn’t even think about it, but yeah pretty much all physical consequences last fewer than 12 hours and he’s walled himself off from emotional consequences. But now he’s committed to caring about at least a few things and is actively searching for a way out of immortality . . . god the immortal stuff in this podcast is so good and Travis is such a fascinating character.

I figured that the way the sculptures seem to predict the future is bc they're vague and there's just been so many permutations of this cycle that he noticed the patterns. In the same way that the voices you hear in the dreams/visions are actually all from the past cycles.

yeah that makes sense. like he’s just seen *so* many cycles and the same thing happens every time. Which is like....how old is this dude!?!?! 

but oh shit the voices are previous ones? i thought the voices were people you currently know but in the future/ because you were *seeing* into the sea of eventualities? maybe we’re seeing both into the past and future? god this game......

Naddpod thought: Hardwon is full dwarf no matter what, but just. He's a bit of almost every big racial group now? Like, culturally dwarf, originally human born in Galaderon, now a half elf reborn in Hillholm. He's called Beverly his brother with no irony. He loved the Crick before ever seeing it, Ol Cobb is one of his best friends and he serves Mawmaw. He belongs everywhere, and it's bc of the help of Moonshine and Beverly. And I cry about this, all the damn time.
