Not gonna let a little extra squish, cellulite and stretch marks stop me from enjoying every pool, lake and stream this summer with my baby girl. __ Truthfully, it's the 1st summer I don't feel comfortable enough to wear a bikini. I've been working on body acceptance, but I'm not quite there yet. Truthfully, I'll be working on body acceptance for the rest of my life. And that's okay. __ EveryBODY deserves to wear whatever they feel comfortable wearing without fear of judgemental people. Our sweet baby, who once failed to thrive, has grown into this little human who is almost ready to walk. . She's growing like a weed and eating everything in her sight. But sharing all her foods with mama (even mushy half- chewed bread. thanks love) Exploring all around her with such a determined little spirit. She is so gentle and kind and loves all living creatures. She waves and claps and grins her toothy little one dimple smile at everyone. And she gets so excited when she spots a dog. She points out all the dogs to us now. She is sassy and smart and funny. She loves making us laugh. Everyday she gives me sloppy open mouth kisses as her way of saying "I love you mama"... . Each day I take a moment to smell her and just soak her all in. I stroke her hair and wiggle her toes and memorize her every feature. I tell myself nothing is more important than this day with her. I don't want to take one second for granted. It's so beautiful seeing the world through her eyes. . And it's so bittersweet watching her gain independence.
