Postnatal Rehab. We always want to run before we can walk after having a baby, but it’s important to remember what your body has been through in the last 9 months and after. Core strength we work on rebuilding our bodies from the inside out. Concentrating on Strengthening the pelvic floor muscles which will help prevent against accidental urine leaks, strengthen and tone the muscles around the bladder, vagina and back passage. It can also help to treat prolapse and improve intercourse, as well as helping the perineum and the vagina heal more quickly and improving circulation to the area which can help reduce any swelling and bruising. We work on our abdominal area, back and shoulders correcting our posture. We rebuild and strengthen our core and knit our abdominals back together. It is highly important that all core muscles are activated in the right order and participate in muscular activity. If they are not, this can cause imbalances in the body. Abdominal muscle exercises must be started slowly after the pregnancy; instead of straining the muscles to the extreme, concentration is the key. Due to the changes that occur in the body during pregnancy (the stretching of the direct abdominal muscles horizontally to the sides), the aim of the abdominal exercises is to teach the brain to activate the muscles again correctly and to strengthen the nerves, which enable activating the muscles and making them work effectively and purposefully. And what does it take? Continuous and systematic work at a moderate intensity. Our next course starts in 3 weeks and we have limited spaces, this course can be done online or in our beautiful boutique stiwdio.
