Whoa I actually got a handful of questions about my icon! These are OCs names Zoraida and Myra that I had commissioned a few years ago, but sadly I don’t know their current tumblr URL

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Zo: She THINKS she can sing but its very bad. Like she tries to hard and believes shes really good but I’m pretty sure she’s tone deaf or something. If shes singing a group song shes the OBVIOUS one who is off key because she thinks louder and better. 

Myra: Myra sings lullabies that parents typically sang to the child to go to sleep in Iessos. It’s one of the few good memories she has about her parents before they went missing and left her. She usually sings the same song to Zo when shes having trouble sleeping or is sick or in a bad mood. Her voice is soft and melodic. She doesn’t openly sing because shes so reserved. 

Rian: Rian is a transman in a society with strict gender roles (kind of the equivalent to “dwarven” society in the Iessos universe) but only women were allowed to sing. He grew up as a woman and learned to sing very well and is one of the few men in his society who can sing and breaks the gender roles despite the disapproval from his father. I’m still working a bit on Rian tho but this is one thing I’ve always had in mind. While transgender people are wildly accepted in most societies in Iessos are actually seem as a norm, the society Rian comes from is really strict in stuck in old ways.

21. Your most artistic OC

Zo/Myra: Zo and Myra drew together when growing up. Neither are particular anything special when it comes to art but there is an entire Ryn tree covered in their art. 

Din’Zuuk: Drawing is one of the few things that calms him. He’s not much of a talker or expressing his emotions for most of his story arch. He draws a lot of people he sees, in particular Geneva who eventually discovers his breath taking drawings of her. 

22. Is there any OC of yours people tend to mischaracterize? If yes, how?

mmm I feel like people sometimes view Zo as a bit “bad”? Shes chaotic good, a little careless but has a strict set of morals. She obtains the unwanted title of “hero” when she had only one personal goal in mind during a major arch in her story line. I can’t shes 100% good or hero but she doesn’t have an evil bone in her body.

23. Introduce OC that has changed from your first idea concerning what the character would be like?

Zo has grown with me. She’s been an outlet for myself for as long as I could remember. She’s changed as much as I have after the past decade. She’s only become more realized in the past year of so. She started off with pink long hair and green eyes and a bit evil. Now she’s a gay elf with blue hair and is a fucking dork.

24. If you could meet one OC of yours, who would it be and why?

Zo because she always has Myra in any AU so I’d HAVE to meet Myra too. I’d get along very well with Myra but probably just talk for hours with her. Zo is basically me so of course I’d get along with Zo because we share the same interests B)

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?

Zoraida: Zo has a pretty decent posture, although she slouches forward pretty often when shes bored walking or something and just complains until Myra lets her ride on her shoulders. She's pretty graceful tho in most ways, clumsy when just kind just not doing anything important. 

Myra: Myra has very nice posture, never slouches, really comes off as confident. Always trying to come off of weightless even though she has a lot inside her. 

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?

Zo: Think the slight typical/standard British accent with the pitch of Princess Azula. She's a horrible liar because she skips over her own words and stutters when lying, she can't say "cinnamon", its like "ciminom" and she gets really pissy when she can't say words. Shes fluent in her language and the universal language, often curses in her own language. Her voice gets really high pitched and crackly when shes mad or upset. 

Myra: Myra has a pretty, poetic voice, with a nice but faint New Orleans accent and speaks pretty fluidly and is fluent in most of the nation's languages. She does this nervous laugh thing a lot when shes nervous/embarrassed and blushes uncontrollably. 

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

Zo: When she isn't with Myra she's often just climbing trees and watching animals do animal things. She really REALLY likes wildlife and likes to be close to it and try to make friends with many different animals. She will sometimes drag Myra with her. Zo also likes like to draw sometimes, she's really good but doesn't really show it off (mainly because its inappropriate drawings of her and myra woops)

Myra: Myra is always reading or writing or just trying to clear her head. The magic she practices is only found her blood line and it can cause a lot of different things to the brain because of her ability to alter reality and time and it can kind of mess with her. She also likes singing, she often sings softly to Zo before sleeping. They're really fucking cute its disgusting.

2. Smell? 

Zo: Nature. Not always the best smelling nature tho. She really enjoys the smell of cake/sweets of course. 

Myra: Lavender. Something calming and nice. She also really enjoys lavender herself.

9. Plant?

Zo: Sometimes a sun flower. Sometimes a weed. She really likes any type of purple flower.

Myra: See last question!

10. Animal

Zo: Sometimes a wolf. Sometimes a kitten. Sometimes a sloth. She's really found of her raccoon dogs, but she really does love all animals.

Myra: This weird large crow thing I came up with. I don't have a name for it, but she ends up having one as a companion in the story arc. They live for about ~150 years, really smart, about the size of like a watermelon, they get really fat and feathery and turn white in the winter/cold seasons, are smaller and black during other seasons, can communicate with certain tones, whistles etc with other beings, can see other realities. Perfect fit for Myra tbh.

7. How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Zo: Zo can be a bit full of herself at times, and some of the things she does do can be questionable, but she ALWAYS tries to do right by herself and those around her. She has a few physical things she isn't very happy about but really uses them to her advantage. She has a very positive view on herself and likes who she is and doesn't really care what others think. 

Myra: Myra comes off as very confidant, kinda smug, but she does have a lot inside her. She doesn't have a negative view of herself, and shes comfortable with who she is but it's also not very positive. I guess she can feel a bit lost or out of place at times. Her character evolves a lot in her story arc and I have a very nice way of leaving her off in the end so she finds her place. She deserves so much tbh.

18. Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether?

Zo: Zo is a rather effective leader but has is more of a  "follow me lead and don't fall behind" type of leadership and kind of expects other to know what shes doing. Again, she's very impulsive and quick to think, no time to bark out orders. She works better alone or with a much smaller group. Her story arc puts her in a position of power later on and its interesting to see how she handles it. 

Myra: Myra's family comes from nobility and leadership and she refuses to lead something so large. When she is in charge of anything it's usually detailed requests and commands that are well organized. She gets a little anxious on when having to think quickly though.

19. If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?

Both would defend themselves and each other depending on the threat really. Neither is prone to seriously injuring or killing things which will effect them in their story arcs. It's dark fantasy of course they're gonna have to kill a thing or so. Most of the time they avoid things when they can!
