How do you cultivate your ripping/vipping ideas and how do you know to separate your ideas between SiIva, Vavr and your own projects?
I get ideas often from various situations. I think it mainly comes as a result of listening to a lot of rips and becoming familiar with a lot of VGM melodies, and a handful of other music or media that I listen to and start to make connections between. I often have music "playing in my head", and much of the time those will be lyrics to one track that I'm "singing in my head" to the tune of a different track. I often turn those ideas into rips that use pitch-shifted vocals.
I have a simple text file on my computer called IDEAS COOL.txt where I dump quick notes for ideas that come to me. I apparently created it on March 10, 2021, and now it has 830 lines (excluding empty ones), most of which are individual rip ideas. Some of them are just tracks/games I want to rip sometime but don't know the joke for yet, they might just sound cool or have a funny name.
In that text file, I very inconsistently mark ideas with DONE, and right now "DONE" returns 184 results but I'm sure there's more ideas in there that I've finished. Not all of the ideas really work in practice or even second thought, but I'm sure there's some stuff in there I've had for years that I could revive. Occasionally I do go back to really old ideas: I remember Castle - Mari0 was a concept I've had since 2019, sitting in my notes app on my phone. Well, now that finished rip is itself two years old...
As for where I decide to put them, this has changed throughout the years but still depends on the context. Once, the default for me was Vavr, as I wasn't confident in putting my stuff anywhere else. I didn't contribute to any other channels until after Vavr's 2020 ending (now the end of "Chapter 1.") In the next year or two my default was definitely Mysikt, but from late 2021 across gradually became SiIva, and SiIva is where I put most of the things I create right now.
If I make a rip with a joke that is a meme on a different channel, I will usually submit it to that channel. Same, of course, for any game (real or fake) that's associated with that channel. And of course, there's so much I can do on Vavr in particular that doesn't usually work on other channels.
Finally, uploading to my personal channel is something I do really rarely. The most rip-adjacent stuff I upload there has just been yearly WeeWeeDubs during each Labor Day Weekend. I just really prefer making stuff for collaborative channels, I guess.
