Luts Kid Delf Boy body type 1-- EDIT: This MAY be a recast. Not certain, but the head he came with (not pictured,) seems likely to have been. BOO.
An unexpected find this past week while digging around through online auctions!
Here's the bod all dressed up with my Dollzone Marlin head and some ill-fitting hand me down clothing. We'll work on all that later. (HIS SHOES TO BIG...!! FOR HIS GOT DAMN FEET!)
Anyway; let's begin. Nude doll and parts below the cut!
A few notes before we jump all in: The mid section part for the lower half of the torso had been removed (a little hap-hazardly, at that.) In an effort to fix it I...put it in backwards. THANKFULLY the method I used (Two part epoxy sculpt,) has a full cure time of 24 hours so I was able to fix my mistake prior to it becoming a real headache!
SO, when you see the pics of it on backwards you don't gotta' tell me, I know. I know.
This is a type 1 bod so it doesn't have the neat little stems for the upper legs.
Hate that this middle section had been removed but it was an easy fix ultimately! It can't be seen when the two torso parts are together, either.
You're about to see how it's NOT supposed to be put in-- again, I..caught on later.
Turns out the open section faces towards the back-- it's so that he can lean forward more. Here are two messy shots of it fixed--
I'll fill it in a bit more later, may or may not do some skin-tone matching-- it doesn't really matter as that part is covered pretty well.
I realized my mistake by looking through old Luts FAQ posts-- they actually do a really good job at showing off their bodies/parts! I wish more companies did this!
The chest piece is simple; the sculpting is nice. I like how Luts bodies catch the light.
Side looks nice, stamp on the inside looks nice and crisp.
Arms and legs next!
Little notches that help with posing.
Legs look nice! I'm especially fond of the joint system for the feet--
The cord goes through the little ankle-cups and hooks around the ankle joint. Restringing this fella was so nice!
Loving the arms, too. The little tiny notches lock into the elbow joint-
Also, thanks to the stamping, easy to match.
Finally-
Hands! They're very sweet-- little!
All strung up he stands very well! Luts bodies are very stable-- something I noticed when handling the previous luts bod I had in hand for..uh...nearly a week? Give or take.
I'll post pictures of the head with the missing back plate tomorrow-- realizing I forgot to nab some pics of him when the lighting was decent.
:) Till next time!
