He couldn't believe it. He supposed he was lucky, in that the captain had brought him back to port before dumping him instead of marooning him on some island. Still, how was he supposed to find another ship to sail with now? His reputation was probably in tatters by now.

Craggy was so caught up in his grumblings that he didn't notice the other person until he'd knocked them down. He froze on instinct, an apology already on his tongue, but the words died in his throat when he finally saw who he had knocked over.
