playing standard constructed, if my deck was 70 cards with 15 card side board in the second game could I cut my deck to 60 cards and still use my sideboard? Or because I've stated a 70 card deck does my deck always have to have that many cards in? Kind regards

Your sideboard can never contain more than 15 cards at any time, and your main deck can’t have less than 60.

So no, you can’t sideboard out 10 cards in your 70/15 deck, but you could if your sideboard started with fewer than 15 cards in it. You could even run a 75 card deck with no sideboard and just board out the worst 15 cards for games 2 and 3 of each match.

question about tapping creatures in combat. my mate tapped to attack and made a creature unblock-able then in response i cast Pressure Point to tap his creature so it couldn't attack but he said his creature is already tapped because of combat that i couldn't do that. Surely he has to declare what creatures are attacking first then i have the chance to respond?

Your opponent only declares which creatures are attacking as they’re declared as attackers. Your don’t get the opportunity to tap those creatures once they’re actually declared as attackers. Your last chance to tap a creature before it can attack is in the beginning of combat step, but at that point there’s no foreknowledge of which creatures will attack.

If your opponent made their creature unable to be blocked once it was already attacking, then trying to tap it won’t remove it from combat or the like.

when tapping a creature with Cryptolith Rite on the board can the creature be used to produce waste mana ?

There’s no such thing as “waste mana”. Wastes produce colorless mana, which is what the <> symbol represents.

Cryptolith Rite allows your creatures to tap for mana of any color, but colorless is not a color, so you can’t tap them for colorless mana using the ability granted by the Rite.

when using stoneforge masterwork equipped creature gets +1+1 for each creature it shares a creature type with. So if you had three Blinding Drones and one equipped with the stoneforge masterwork would that creature get +2+2 or would it get +4+4 as it is both an eldrazi and a drone type?

Stoneforge Master work doesn’t count the number of matching creature types, it just cares if at least one type of the other creature matches the equipped creature’s creature types.

Blinding Drone will get +2/+2.
