Suppose I have five 1/1 creatures with the same creature type on the battlefield. Creature A is equipped with a Stoneforge Masterwork, making him a 5/5. My opponent casts Languish. Does Creature A survive? Suppose Boiling Earth was cast instead? Does Creature A survive?
No in both cases.
When state-based actions are checked the first time, all of your other creatures will die. This makes your creature lose the bonus from Stoneforge Masterwork and when state-based actions are immediately checked again, the game sees that it either has lethal damage marked on it or has less than one toughness, and so it too will die. It just dies after all of its friends.
when using stoneforge masterwork equipped creature gets +1+1 for each creature it shares a creature type with. So if you had three Blinding Drones and one equipped with the stoneforge masterwork would that creature get +2+2 or would it get +4+4 as it is both an eldrazi and a drone type?
Stoneforge Master work doesn’t count the number of matching creature types, it just cares if at least one type of the other creature matches the equipped creature’s creature types.
Blinding Drone will get +2/+2.
So stoneforge masterwork, I equip my zombie token with it and have say one other zombie token on the field with a mephidross vampire. That means it gets 2x+1+1 for the other vampires and 1x +1+1 for the other zombie, correct?
No.
It gets +2/+2 total because it shares one or more creature types with two other creatures you control.
Can you please confirm how Stoneforge Masterwork works with creatures that share multiple creature types? If I control three Kor Soldiers, and one is equipped with Stoneforge Masterwork, will it get +2/+2 or +4/+4?
+2/+2.
The equipped creature compares its set of creature types to the set of creature types of each other creature you control. In each case where at least one type matches, it gets +1/+1.
It’s a yes/no proposition. It only cares about matching any types, not how many types match.
