I've talked to too many people who think that the fandom pressured justin into making him gay- to the point that ive left all but one taz discord now 🙄 so its nice to have it retroactively added
the fact that you feel validated doesn't erase the fact that a whole lot of gay men are pissed off by this choice, though. it doesn't erase their reasoning, trauma, logic and anger. while there is no one explicit way of being a gay man, and while some gay men do find it empowering to present themselves the way taako does in the graphic novel, the fact remains that some people do not. some people are made uncomfortable by this, because it does not accurately represent them. good for you for not being offended by it. a significant chunk of the fandom, though, is very clearly diametrically opposed to that.
