For those of you with android devices, you can use the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) standalone app control program to get rid of all the bloatware, data mining, and AI crap - no coding needed!

There are also Android-based alternatives like GrapheneOS and LineageOS, which are pretty easy to install. These are unfortunately available for a more limited range of devices (Graphene is ironically Pixel only, while Lineage supports more), but it's very worth checking out whether one of them might work for your phone.
GrapheneOS is a security and privacy focused mobile OS with Android app compatibility.

Typing this from Graphene now, in fact. But, both of those take the Android Open Source Project, without all the bloatware--and largely de-Google the whole thing. They give you much more control over privacy and what the apps you choose to install can do and access on your phone.
I know Graphene sandboxes everything, including the optionally installed Google Play Services which a lot of apps unfortunately require to run. (Lineage uses an alternative to Play Services instead.) So, you can install what would normally be unacceptably intrusive apps and just lock them away from pulling any funny shit with your data, or phoning home. Including the couple of Google things I do still keep around.
I also prefer running much more transparent, privacy-respecting open source apps where possible. Besides the transparency, I'd rather avoid the shitty tech corps entirely where I can. There are pretty good alternatives available for a lot of the usual suspects.

y'all were asking why i was being seen for cognitive therapy and the short answer is that long covid had badly exacerbated a lot of my ADHD and Autism cognitive function issues
the long answer is today i walked outside, walked across the street to my red car, saw the windshield had been cracked terribly from one end to the other, burst into tears because i can't possibly afford a new windshield, said "it wasn't broken like ten minutes ago when I got home!" decided the children who lived in the house beside me must have done it because they play outside with random big toys all day, decided immediately i had no desire to follow up on it but that i only wished whoever broke it would have left a note, noticed one of the neighbors staring at me, realized i was going to be late to my appointment and i needed to stop fussing, got into the car, car smelled like cigarettes and i don't smoke, realized this wasn't my fucking car, realized the neighbor was staring at me because i was crying over his car (also red), and now i was in his car, got out, he said nothing, hoped he has a sense of humor, walked 10 feet to my car, deeply embarrassed.
BUT, my windshield isn't broken <3
i cant stop imagining looking outside and your neighbor you never really talk to but who you see every day just has one hand on your windshield and the other over his eyes, weeping. OF COURSE HE SAID NOTHING!!!!!
Do you feel bad right now? Kinda listless, like everything is being dumped on you? Eternal misery that cannot be fixed? Try eating a potato. You'll feel a lot better.
Potatoes, while obviously the single most lifegiving crop in human history, have gotten a bit of an unfair rap in the media. Be it because of carbohydrates, not enough greenery, or the fact that everyone only eats them fried to a crisp in oil and heavily salted, it seems like there is always a chance for our so-called "truth tellers" to deliver a slam to the noble spud.
Of course, improving your mood will require cooking a potato. Eating them raw does not seem to make me feel any better. And that can be difficult, if you are already feeling pretty terrible. That's why I think we should replace the police with people who hand out a baked potato. They could have like a little oven or something with them and when you want one, you get one.
Now, now, I hear a lot of you saying: oh, but then who will arrest the criminals? That's scarcity thinking. There'll be no criminals anymore. If you're feeling like you might want to rob a bank, it's possible that you just need a baked potato. With chives, little sour cream, bacon bits? Any nearby Potato Officer will provide, and then you can go right back to having a productive life, doing some kind of weird hobby instead of threatening to shoot a bunch of people unless they give you money that you would just use to buy potatoes anyway.
So I want you to think about this the next time the city police budget comes up for renewal. That could buy a lot of potatoes. Hell, it could buy some fried potatoes. Damn, that sounds pretty good right now, doesn't it? Way better than having some kind of unaccountable stealth helicopter flying down your alley because some asshole didn't get to eat dinner this evening and has committed an unspeakable crime about it.
