You know we're cooked when podiumsundays is in the right compared to some of the Lando fans here, who are completely missing the point of that Guardian article.

That journalist got the opportunity for an exclusive. He had the opportunity to talk to Lando about his championship and his accomplishments. It should've been about Lando.

Instead, he wanted clickbait quotes about Max and the new regs. And then wrote a dramatic thinkpiece about how he was "silenced" and "Lando was muzzled" when he asked questions that he was told were off limits.

And has everyone collectively forgotten how Lando gets raked through the coals every time his words are taken out of context?

His PR team did exactly what they needed to do. And stop infantilising Lando. He wasn't muzzled or silenced. We only have the journalist's point of view, which clearly can't be trusted.

One question I still have after watching Destroying A World That Doesn't Exist is how WERE they able to meet... And how were Avery able to find that (supposedly d3rlord3's) computer in the first place. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like d3rlord3 never left the game after he first encountered the King? Which means he never stood up from his computer and definitely couldn't just leave it somewhere for Avery to find. Which means they were playing on the same singleplayer world on the SAME computer and the SAME time.

Sounds like time/time-space shenanigans to me...

There's a post about good glasses tropes or whatever that I just saw and probably most of them were fine but when the FIRST ONE is 'taking somebody's glasses off to stop them working' I nope the fuck out.

Do not take my glasses. Do not take anybody's glasses. What is wrong with you. It's not cute, you are taking away my ability to see. While people's need for vision correction varies, you are still taking a disability aid. Like I realize glasses are pretty normalized now and that's great but if you take someone's glasses you are impeding their ability to see. It's not cute. It's not affectionate. It's shitty.

All this talk of 'Lando is a PR nightmare' actually got me thinking about posts and reels I've seen of people talking about how millennials could dance and party like there's no tomorrow, without fear of being filmed and blasted online.

We used to pre-drink, and then drink at the club, throw up and then do shots. I used to stumble home, make it a point to shower cos I'd be sweaty as fuck from all the dancing, pass out, only to wake up 2 hours later and down a litre of water cos I'd be parched as fuck.

I know I'm gonna sound like a cranky old boomer about how kids these days don't know any fun, but look at how people are talking, as if partying and drinking is some grave sin that requires a PR cover up.
