As a DM who has read the Strahd DM manual for fun many times, PLEASE DO NOT FUCK THE VAMPIRE. People don't know that there are literal *pages* for moments to use Strahd *exactly* for moments like this. Using your characters backstories/wants/needs against them and bend things into his favor. He does NOT care. You are just a pawn in his game.
And to be real, my biggest frustration is the modern “I seduce the bad guy and now he’s a good guy and my husband” thing that people seem to be obsessed with trying. It’s not a very original “joke” to do in D&D, as there are umpteen stories about it, all it does is give a charisma player a way to steal a potential conflict where each player could have contributed.
Hey DM’s: Try letting your villains be seduced but totally willing to kill the character involved if they’re willing to get in the villain’s way. Also, a high Charisma roll won’t make someone totally forget about all the work they’ve done to conquer the land.
