The main reason I like mythologies with loads of gods is because this universe really FEELS like it's run by a committee.
If I died, and saw a noble, benevolent shepherd of the cosmos, I'd have a few questions.
If I died and saw Hades? I'd be like "Yeah, Greek pantheon, that more or less scans."
Plus, Greek gods especially, they didn't ever claim their pantheon was flawless and perfect and moral. They have scores of stories that begin with "This one god was horny/angry/drunk, so problems started."
I don't really have anything else to say about that. The ancient Greeks were really on to something when they said the rulers of reality were a gaggle of drunken sex pests with anger management issues. Really think about that for five minutes, then tell me that doesn't make a lot of sense.

God of storms, the desert, and Chaos
Major cult center: Ombos
Symbol: The was scepter
Parents: Geb and Nut
Siblings: Osiris, Isis, Nephthys
Consort: Nephthys, Tawaret (in some accounts), Anat, Astarte

Set was depicted standing on the prow of Ra's night barque spearing Apep in the form of a serpent, turtle, or other dangerous water animals. In some Late Period representations, such as in the Persian Period temple at Hibis in the Khargah Oasis, Set was represented in this role with a falcon's head, taking on the guise of Horus. In the Amduat Set is described as having a key role in overcoming Apep.
