        Dᴀʀᴋʀᴀɪ, ɴᴏ ʟᴏɴɢᴇʀ the Guardian of Nightmares, wonders what Mew thinks of him now that he's relieved of his title. Mew is said to be a kind-hearted Pokémon, but with Darkrai's nightmare aura borne of his nerves and anxiety, Mew might end up rejecting his very presence. After all, Mew was the one who had chosen Munna and Musharna as Dream Guardians long ago, in the aftermath of Darkrai's despair.

        Darkrai carefully wanders closer to the Psychic-type, nearly sinking into the shadows from fear. He speaks, though his words are barely above a whisper.

         What was that he had spied past the          canopy? HIs curiosity impelled him to climb further          up the tree he was perched in. Certainly, Rune had          reached a dangerous height---one that would have          earned a scolding from his parents, if either one of          them were here---but it would have been ignored.                   The sunlight had given him a glimpse of pink                    and then it was gone again. Certainly not a                    human, but not a pokemon he had ever seen                    then. But nor could Rune make out a shape                    in the mass of deciduous leaves!
