NATURALLY , having been raised in weather such as this, Lilah wasn't fazed in the slightest. ( In fact, she was perfectly comfortable in her black sweater and jeans, in contrast to Lysis' multiple layers of clothing.) Seeing people fall in skating rinks was a nice spectacle to watch and laugh at, but Lilah certainly didn't expect that she'd end up falling herself.
The sentient tree named Lilah slips and falls not-so gracefully on her face , right into a pile of fresh, soft snow. ( OH, how's she's grateful it was a soft surface, and not one that was much harder.)
( If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Well, they aren't In a forest, and plenty of people were around them, and Lilah didn't make any sound besides a muffled ' oof. ' )
She wasn't fazed, but she wasn't as hurt as her pride was. She raises her head, wiping her numb face of the snow on it. There was still some snow resting on her curly tresses, but she didn't mind. The girl laughs along with Lysis, not really minding the girl’s laughing at her fall. ( after all, Lilah would have done the same thing had Lysis fell.)
' I suppose that idiom holds truth. It doesn't hurt, though. Don't worry, I'm though as nails. ' Although she allows Lysis to inspect her forehead, she hadn't expected .... THAT. Had it been somebody else, Lilah would've damn nearly PUNCHED them, but she’ll allow it, because... its Lysis.
The kiss, though fleeting, had slightly surprised her. Her plush lips curve into a simper, an eyebrow raising in slight amusement.
' ... Duly noted. Hey, it isn't my fault that I'm tall. But thanks for kissing my boo boo, Lyssie.'
And the tree rises, shaking the remnants of snow off of her. Lilah reaches out her hand, her fingers bumping slightly into Lysis' ; a sign for them to hold hands again. ( not only to prevent Lysis getting lost, but for the chance that if Lilah fell again, she could drag Lysis down with her. ) ' Lets continue walking, yeah? '
