Going on my stupid walk for my stupid mental and physical health. #mywalk
ok i realised (again) that since i live alone im not going on walks anymore, which really was keeping me on the "can still work a remote 9 to 5 with difficulty" side of disability, because i don't get overwhelmed at home anymore and thus i have no incentive to get away from it. i used to go on like 2h walks almost every day (i sat for long parts of it but still, at least i got sunlight on me) even when i lived on a 3rd floor without an elevator and needed a cane and ankle braces to walk comfortably and now im going on zero walks even though i can walk perfectly well unaided and i live on the ground floor!!! i think i've been wayyyyy too lax on myself and crossed the line between being careful not to trigger a cfs flare and just letting the depression win many months ago 💀💀💀 which is ok like a lot happened and i was doing my best and basking in my alone time but its time to get back on track now!!! im gonna go on 30mins morning walks every day and i'll post about them here because private diaries clearly have not worked for me because i just forget they exist
i went on a 2h walk earlier today so i'm gonna count it as day one!!!
I can't believe that I almost convinced myself to not go for a walk today when it's the most beautiful day ever and I live HERE. It's the perfect temperature this evening for a pre-dinner walk 🥰
Honestly can’t believe that I managed to snag 45 minutes when it wasn’t raining for an evening walk on the forest. I’d already written today off because of the weather but I’m so glad it cleared because I feel 10 x better for getting some fresh air
p.s. sorry if you’re bored of all my walking and running pics but...
4 hours of walking today... around the zoo! It was relatively busy but we just avoided the busiest areas, the park is pretty big so plenty of space to spread out.
My ankle doesn’t hurt at all which is great progress - at the weekend it was still getting sore from an hours walk. Looking forward to trying a piddly little run out at the weekend and seeing how it holds up ☺️
I went for an ‘easy’ 2 and a bit mile walk telling myself that I’d already worked out today, I was only out here to get some fresh air. 4 big hills and 45 mins later I returned to my car sticky and tired 😴 think I’m on track to get a good nights sleep tonight!
Went for a walk this afternoon to scope out the extra loop I want to add to my run soon. Adds almost a mile to my usual route... the only downside is that I lose one downhill and gain two hills! 🙈 but they’re not too steep/long so it should be doable in a couple of weeks.
I have been resting up a bit after my last run really felt like I was pushing through pain in my shins and Achilles but it’s been a few days now so I’m going to try again tomorrow and see if they’ve settled down. Fingers crossed!
Forgot I took these at the beginning of Beltane! I had to do a Raven's spread tarot reading somewhere else since they wouldn't leave the path.
