can I have a little background on Mywin?
Sure!
Mywin, born September 29th Year -75, is an 110 year old Restoration Druid. She is the only child of Tavanar Owlcaller and Kalnor Starblade.
Her mother was a huntress from her teenage years into her early adulthood. She was 17 when the War of the Ancients broke. She lost her patrol squad, her owl Nevaeh, her younger brother and parents in the war. After showing an ability to commune with Elune the Sisterhood recruited her, specifically Aceso (one of the prime figureheads at the time). She would later be nominated by Aceso to become a Sentinel.
Tavanar is younger than his wife, being only 8 at the time of the War of the Ancients, He doesn’t remember much of that time however lost his two older sisters who were priestesses and his mother. He met his wife when he was nursing her wounds during the War of the Shifting Sands which wouldn’t be for another 9,000 years. He courted her for several years before she accepted. Aceso would deliver their daughter. Tavanar would lose his father due to an unidentified illness, the symptoms most likely accelerated by his own impressive age being a component a few years after they wed.
Tavanar would gift Mywin her saber cub Nova on her first birthday whereas Kalnor gave her an owl chick, Eshy’la.
They unfortunately would both be killed when Mywin was only 11 in a patrol against remaining demons. Aceso adopted Mywin and took her into the care of the Sisterhood. Malfurion, feeling responsible for his thero’shan Tavanar, would keep an eye on Mywin and personally take her on under his Druidic circle for tutelage. Mywin would receive her markings when she turned 16.
During a festival before the events of TBC, Mywin discovers Illidan, who had disguised his demonic features, looking at Tyrande from a distance. Not knowing who he was, she conversed with him for many hours. Seeing a certain resemblance with Tyrande, he kisses her. Before they can have intercourse, he whispers Tyrande’s name and she realises who he is. She composed herself and leaves him alone in the wood.
He later returns and encounters her again. He apologises for trying to use her as a substitute for Tyrande and is humbled by her keeping their meeting a secret from the other kaldorei. He admires her not revealing him and confesses that he thought a lot about her and their conversations. While still hesitant in his motivations, they kiss. Mywin and Illidan begin a secret relationship and meet in the forest often. After a while, Illidan stops visiting and Mywin believes she was nothing more than a fling, cursing herself for being so naive.
Afterwards, the draenei would crash on Azeroth and Mywin befriends warrior Aleeia.
Mywin is then horrified by Illidan’s actions in Outland, finally realising why he left. She participates in the raid that kill him.
When he later returns to aid Azeroth against Sargeras, she avoids him. They only speak at the end of the final battle where he apologises for leaving and for his actions in Outland, noting his thirst for power overwhelmed him. He reveals he will be remaining at the Pantheon. They embrace and she bids him farewell for the last time.
The attack on Teldrassil heavily impacts Mywin. She curses Sylvanas and swears on revenge. She also visits Saurfang in his cell and swears her alliegence to him becoming Warchief as she respects him for his value of honour.
During the assault on Darkshore, she encounters an injured saber who she heals and is surprised to discover that it is a fellow druid: a green dragon using a night elf appearance. He is Verda (owned by @fullelven). They keep in contact and she later invites him to decorate Aleeia and Imeyah’s Winter Veil’s tree. Sensing the chemistry between them, Imeyah hangs mistletoe outside the door for them to see as they exit. They kiss. On New Year’s Eve, they officially become mates.
Later the following Spring in Darkshore, the Horde are hunting for night elf druids to capture an interrogate for the whereabouts of Malfurion. A goblin catches Eshy’la and uses her as bait for Mywin to comply with being taken prisoner. She is then starved and tortured to no avail as she refuses to give her shan’do’s location.
A month goes by and Aleeia and her allies have yet to find her. Verda awakens from hibernation to discover his missing mate. Alongside his friend Raineigh, Aleeia and some priestesses, they attempt to get the goblin trapped to talk. Unexpectedly, a blood elf female appears and tips them off to the location. The team manage to rescue Mywin and kill her keepers before returning her to Hyjal where she is healed but continues to suffer from nightmares.
She eventually recovers and is well enough to join the chase the Horde ships as they leave Dazar’alor, only to be caught in the whirlpool caused by Azshara. When her crew find shelter, she swears to kill Azshara for being the reason her maternal grandparents, uncle, aunts and ultimately parents are dead.
And that’s where I’ve got to so far!
