zelda monroe has been a name in the entertainment industry for nearly 15 years; she took off to superstardom as a child in a popular family sitcom, bright’s nest - where she starred as the precocious pre-teen for five seasons. from there, she was able to launch a singing career, releasing three albums in almost near succession, all the way until she hit her 21st birthday. along the way, she starred in a plethora of various movies and tv shows, building up her imdb page.

as a young adult, she wanted to change her image - she’d been ‘disney’fied’‘ all her life, shown as the good girl next door. while that was the image she wanted for a long time, she wanted to be taken more seriously, given darker roles, have a chance at being seen as an adult. she took a few indie roles, took a few risque photoshoots, and her last album - superior - was written almost exclusively by herself, with a much sharper and darker edge than her previous three.

most ate it up, and she managed to thrive, even winning her first oscar at 23, it felt like the world was at her fingertips, that she could go anywhere next. there was no door closed to her, and zelda finished up her last tour by her twenty fifth birthday, immediately moving onto shooting yet another movie.

but she was burned out, tired, and wanted a break. no one would listen - she was a business, in and of itself, her career paying for many others. so when christmas of 2021 came, she disappeared without a trace - leaving her family, her team, and her fans wondering just where she went.

she gave them peace of mind enough to let them know she was still there - she kept her social media presence intact, but dropped her team, her upcoming contracts - everything, and ran to the hamptons.

she’s made some rash decisions in the past year, pissed off more than her fair share of the entertainment world, but right now, she’s trying to focus on what would make her happy - and figuring out what that is, one step at a time.
