At the end of a harrowing journey through the depths of Zebes, Rouge finds herself down in the depths of the newly rebuilt Tourian, face to face with the Mother Brain - a hybrid of Chozo and Echidna tech made to control the metroids, gone rogue and rebuilt by the space pirates - and now having been saved from the monster’s beam attacks by the sacrifice of the larval metroid she came to retrieve, who even rejuvenated her and hyper-charged her suit. She’s going to unleash all that energy right back onto the Mother Brain too.
