Misa was more than thrilled when she got the invitation. She loved attending parties mostly because she loved to dress up. She was a bit curious as to what this event would be like since she hasn’t ever attended a masquerade but she was delighted to join the fun.
Dressing up in a beautiful black and red gown she personally bought for another event Misa styles her hair in a cute pony tail in which she curls as well. With her mask as a finishing touch she was finally ready to attend the ball.
Misa was one to arrive fashionably late since she likes to make a scene when she walks in. Unfortunately for her though, there were no photographers or a spotlight when she arrives at the park. She pouts to herself before making her way to the buffet table. “To think the effort I put in looking this good and no one gives a dam” she mutters to herself as she grabs a plate and starts to fill her plate. Noticing that there was one more h’orderve on the tray she quickly reaches for it, However, she wasn’t the only one reaching for it. “Ahem I saw it first” she says it the person who was also reaching for the treat.
When a package had arrived for Kisa, she was speechless. When she opened the package, she wasn’t speechless but it felt like something was stuck in her throat and keeping her from saying anything. The mask that she unwrapped from the box was plain but beautiful because of its simplicity.
It surprisingly didn’t take a lot of pestering to convince her mother to allow her to attend the Christmas Ball. Kisa’s mother had even helped her to pick out an outfit with matching shoes, one that she had recently worn to a classmate’s birthday party where all the girls had dressed up.
Kisa awoke the next morning and her mother helped her to get ready, pulling her orange hair back to keep it out of her eyes and applying minimal make-up. She was finally able to leave and she reached Central Park shortly after noon.
She eyed the crowd curiously, watching for any area that would be a problem to her. Her mother’s warning of being careful rang in her head. She knew she had to stay away from the food table where a crowd had gathered around. The middle of the park, close to where the music came from would also be an issue. Strangely enough it was close to the food table, a couple feet back, that would be her safe zone.
She made her way towards the table, the flimsy material of her sandal making it difficult to walk. She only stumbled once, and luckily missed running into somebody, but she had dropped dropped her small purse. She turned and took the few steps to grab her purse, but stopped short when she somebody’s shoes appear in her vision.
Kisa stopped in her step, her eyes widening as she looked up at them before she bent her head. “Ah, sorry... for almost running into you.”
Fushimi wasn’t a huge fan of big parties but this letter he received was rather enticing. He was curious and also suspicious as to what this event might entail. A masquerade ball? He never attended one before and to say the least he was a bit happy that his identity would be kept hidden behind his mask.
He arrived at the Yubari Central Park five minutes earlier than the time it said on the invitation for he wasn’t one to be late. He worn his mask, a navy dress coat, a grey sweater,a white dress shirt and a tie with dress pants since he figured it would be a formal event. He wondered who else he knew would also be attending and if he would be able identify who they were if they were to meet. Fushimi wasn’t wearing his glasses to this event since his mask wouldn’t fit on his face if he did. So of course he wears the contacts that he refuses to ever wear. He clicks his tongue there were too many people already and the festivities barely started. As he walks towards the table with the food he accidentally bumps into someone. “Geez. Way to block the way” he says bitterly. He just wanted to get to the food.
