Chigusa tried to look up at the bun at the top of her head. She patted at it as Haruhi complimented her choice in hairstyle. “Oh this? It’s just something easy ya know? Works even when you’re having a bad hair day.” She smiled and shrugged. She appreciated the compliment even if it was Haruhi’s job to tell her sweet nothings. “Oh and no thank you to the tea. I’m not a huge fan.” She rested her head in her hands and looked Haruhi over. Something was…off but she wasn’t sure what. “Sooo…you like being a host? I couldn’t imagine having all these girls all over you all the time. That would annoy me so much!” Chigusa sighed. “They’re so dumb.” She chuckled before going silent letting Haruhi speak. She had a bad habit of that, talking too much and not giving the other person a chance to speak.
’ —ah, alright.. ‘ Haruhi nodded as she poured herself a cup. She’s been drinking tea practically all day, but she doesn’t mind. The tea they serve at this school is really good compared to regular tea-bags.
Blinking in confusion, Haruhi set her cup down and placed her finger to her cheek in thought.
’ —well, yeah, it can be fun. ‘ she replied solemnly ’ —though it wasn’t exactly my choice to become a host…but I’ve gotten the hang of it. ‘
Chigusa giggled and shrugged. “Well you’re an awfully good sport then!” She put her hand up to her mouth. “You’re so cute Haruhi!” She meant that! She thought he was adorable even with...whatever it was that was off about him. Chigusa was a bit annoyed with herself for not being able to figure oput what exactly it was though...well, regardless, it was a perfect reason to pry a little.
“SO. Haruhi.” She clasped her hands together and quieted her voice. “Any girls you...particularly favor?” She looked away and squinted a little. Chigusa lifted one hand and rolled her wrist, floppily waving her hand. “Ya know like..maybe have a crush?”
Chigusa’s hand fell to the table. Probably a little harder than it should have, making a noise louder than she should have. She rolled her eyes then began to speak. “Oh of COURSE. DADDY said so and whatever DADDY says, goes because poor little Kyoya can’t have a life of his own. That’s what it is, isn’t it? That’s what it’s ALWAYS been. I’m just not good enough for you. So why? Why did you bother? Why did you string me along for all that time when you knew as soon as your father caught wind, you were going to up and leave? Why put me through all that?” She didn’t understand. She would NEVER understand his lack of motivation to live a life of his own. If he kept this up, he was going to end up married to mail order bride his father picked and he’d never be happy all for some stupid company he could run just fine regardless of who he was with. He was right though. This was her decision. What happened from here on out was up to her. It didn’t take much time for her to decide what she wanted, she knew the second she heard his voice what she wanted. Chigusa took a deep breathe before finally spilling. “Kyoya…” She tried to speak in a calmer tone. “I want to be with you of course. You know I love you more than anything but I…can’t keep playing this game with you. If you leave me…again, I want it to be of YOUR accord. I don’t want to be with a puppet. I don’t want someone making all your decisions for you. I don’t want this to constantly happen. I can’t and I won’t put myself through it again. So, if you can promise me that there will be no more interference like this; that you will choose things that YOU want rather than “what’s best for the family,” then I still want to be with you…I want to try again.“
Kyoya would be lying if he said her words didn’t make his blood boil. His family name was ultimately who he was in this town. There was no way he could label himself as a traitor to his family.
“Chigusa,” He set his cup of tea down with a rather loud clank. “You are asking me to give up my entire life. You are sitting in front of me and asking me to give up everything that I’ve ever worked for. The lifestyle that I live. You are asking me to walk away from my family - my mother and sister, my father, my brothers. You are asking me to give up almost all of my best friends. Do you think their parents are going to allow them to associate with me if I decide to betray my father?”
He stared at her. He wanted her to feel everything that he felt. He wanted her to know exactly what she was doing to him. This was his whole life. For her. Kyoya loved her - with everything he was. He would do anything for her.
Except give his family up.
When she didn’t immediately answer him. He let his gaze fall. “Chigusa, I’m sorry. I love you. You know I love you. But you also know I can’t make any promises on behalf of my father. If you feel like you can’t accept that, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.”
Chigusa blinked and looked at him with shock. “Kyoya I’m not...” Is that what she sounded like? She would never tell him to give up his family...that is not at all what she intended for him to do nor did she want him too.
She shook her head lightly. “That isn’t what I intended to come across as saying and I’m sorry that it came off that way, I just...” She shrugged and looked away. Her voice was small now. “I wanna prove to your family that I’m good enough for you...I wanna show them that I won’t get in the way of anything your--” She sighed. “destined to do.”
Chigusa looked back at him with probably a hint of desperation but she didn’t care. She loved him so much and all she wanted was him back to herself. “So if you’re okay with it then I’d like us to...pick up where we left off maybe? I miss you terribly and I love you more than anything. We can just play it by ear and cross those bridges when we come to them, yeah?’ Chigusa smiled warmly at him. She felt kind of bad for coming in hot the way she did but he kinda deserved it and she was sure he knew that.
Chigusa waltz backed into the host club room. She was use to this stuff by now. Nothing special. Just these dumb girls and the guys who use that to their advantage. She hadn’t really spent any one on one time with most of them so she decided to broaden her horizons today.
The girl at Haruhi’s table had just gotten up. Perfect. Chigusa walked up very lazily and smiled while listening to his little speech. Nothing like Tamaki’s thank goodness. “Hello and thank you, Haruhi!” She plopped down and held her hand out. “I’m Chigusa. It’s nice to officially meet you!”
Taking her hand, Haruhi shook it slowly.
’ —nice to meet you too, Chigusa-san. ‘ Haruhi replied, letting go of her hand.
’ —by the way, I really like how your hair is styled. It’s cute. ‘ Just some extra compliments to fluff up the guest, no biggie,
’ —would you like some tea ? ‘ Haruhi asked, signaling to the exquisite tea set on the table.

Being a host meant keeping your guests entertained and leaving them excited to come back. Haruhi had this pretty much drilled into her head, but Haruhi knew that she didn’t have riches and experience with trying to charm girls, but she somehow managed to get a fair amount of customers each day. But she was the ‘natural type’, after all. Maybe these girls really wanted someone to talk with normally, seeing as the rest of the hosts seem to keep their guests entertained in their own ways.
Today was no different. Girls came and went. So when another girl approached Haruhi’s table, she smiled as normal. The girl seemed a bit older than the others here. Maybe a third year or uni student? She also had her hair in a cute bun, which made Haruhi reminiscence about having long hair again.
’ —hey, welcome to the Namba Host Club. I’m glad you could make it. ‘

This… this wasn’t a situation that Hikaru was expecting to find himself in. While he never had personally spoken to Chigusa Hinamura, he know exactly who she was in a crowded area. He had seen her often come to Namba and frequent a visit with Kyoya. And he had seen her at a few of the Otori parties.
He also knew about their relationship and that it hadn’t ended too well. Hikaru was surprised when Chigusa all of a sudden vanished from the lives of Kyoya and the entire host club. He was even more surprised to see her here in Aliena. How long had it been–?’
“Chigusa!” Hikaru called out. Even though he never really talked to her, he missed the girl’s presence. He ran up to her and sheepishly ran a hand through his orange hair. “Long time no see,” he said, a grin on his face.
Chigusa was minding her own business. She had a lot to think about after all, with the whole...running into Kyoya unexpectedly thing. She was thinking over what to do now that he was back. What did he tell the host club about their relationship? Do they not like her n--
Chigusa looked up quickly . She heard someone call her name but she didn’t see anyone she recognized really. No one out of the ordinary...except for the guy currently running up to her. “Speak of the devil...” She thought to herself. It was one of Kyoya’s friends from the host club and oh god of course it was one of the twins. She could never tell them apart. Maybe he’d offer the info on his own?
She smiled warmly. “Oh hey! Yeah it has been awhile, huh?” Chigusa didn’t really think any of them thought much of her to speak to her outside of the host club, much less without Kyoya there.
Chigusa wasn’t sure why everyone was staring…did they know? Did he talk about her to ALL of them? She made a quick sigh and ignored Tamaki and took Kyoya’s hand, following him to the table. She watched as he shooed the other girls away. Part of her wanted to stick her tongue out at them. How stupid could these girls be? Don’t they know they mean nothing? Lost in thought, she almost didn’t notice he pulled her chair out. She quickly sat so it didn’t look like she was completely not paying attention. She stared at him from across the table as he offered her tea. Chigusa leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms again. “No I don’t want tea. I want to talk. I want answers, Kyoya.” She huffed. “Why didn’t you keep in better touch? What even are we now? The very LEAST you could’ve done was give some kind of closure if you didn’t want to be with me anymore.” Her words were just falling out. Everything she never got to say before, she finally could get out. She didn’t mean to be as aggressive as she was but it was like she couldn’t control it. Plus…he kind of deserved it. She was heartbroken and hurt all over again. She loved him more than anything and he just screwed her over in the end.
Kyoya should have expected this sort of response. He promised her that he wouldn’t hurt her - that he would do whatever he could to make her happy. And he had broken that promise. He ruined her. He knew that she was going to come at him, and be angry with him. Ultimately, Kyoya knew he deserved this. Though, that didn’t make it hurt any less.
“Chigusa…” He began, holding his own cup of tea in his hands. It was enough to stable him so that he wasn’t obviously distraught. “I don’t know.” It was an honest enough answer. He didn’t know what they were, or why he didn’t keep in touch.
“It was a very…delicate situation. My father made sure there was someone keeping an eye on me at all times. To ensure I didn’t disgrace our name any further.” He looked down into the light brown liquid in his cup. This wasn’t exactly helping our cause. “I loved you. More than you could ever know. And I realize what I did to you was incredibly stupid. I can’t ask you to forgive me because I don’t deserve it. I can’t make these decisions as to what we are. I am the one that hurt you. Ultimately, I am in your hands. Not the other way around for a change.”

It was like everything stopped in the host club. Everyone knew what she meant to him, what had happened between them. He could feel the eyes of his current guests burning into his back. Even the twins had stopped their jokes. Honey had stopped the chewing of his cake. From the corner of his eye, he could see Tamaki - his best friend, his second in command - begin to stand and try to help in the situation by taking Chigusa to his table.
But before Tamaki got the chance, Kyoya held his hand out for her to take. At the end of the day, Kyoya was a host. He would be damned if he didn’t do his job. Especially for her.
“Ladies,” Kyoya murmured toward his few other guests. “I’m afraid I am about to be preoccupied for the time being. I encourage you to join one of our other hosts as they would be happy to entertain you at this moment. Now if you would excuse me…”
His hand gripped onto Chigusa’s, leading her toward the back of the room. He offered her a seat, sitting on the chair across from her.
“Would you like some tea?”

This is the second time she’s accidently stumbled into a host club. You’d think by now she’d know to steer clear of them but maybe it was destiny…or fate that had her run into him…again. Chigusa walked in from the door way, letting it close softly behind her. She looked up and gently spoke. “Kyoya?” She wasn’t sure how she felt about seeing him yet. Part of her was mad because they’d been through so much together but that seemed like years ago when in reality it was not even 6 months ago. He left because of his family which was inevitable. Chigusa wasn’t sure why she thought even for a second that she’d be what kept him there. He said he’d keep in touch but it became obvious that he meant that loosely because she rarely heard from him. She stopped caring or expecting anything at all fairly quickly. She hadn’t dated anyone since nor had she thought about it because she wasn’t even sure they were broken up or what they were at this point. On the other hand, she felt her insides do that thing that only he made her feel. Like her heart was in her throat but floating at the same time. Like she had butterflies but she was going to throw them up. She studied his face. Nothing had changed. He still had the face that somehow looked gentle and stern at the same time. Still just as handsome. Still the same look that attracted her to him in the first place. Chigusa held her breath. She didn’t know what he was going to do or say so she just waited.
It was her.
He could feel his heart skip beats, jumping up into his throat. His hands immediately went clammy and his breathing turned shallow. It wasn’t like he was purposely trying to avoid her. But when Kyoya’s father had learned of Chigusa’s existence, and how Kyoya felt about the commoner girl, it wasn’t long until Kyoya had a one way ticket far away laying on his bed.
He didn’t even tell her he was leaving until he was already gone.
Kyoya loved her. Loved every part of her, with every part of him.
“Chigusa.” He murmured. Kyoya wanted to reach out and touch her - hold her, kiss her, run his fingers through her hair. But here he was - at his job. His job where he entertained other ladies. Where he held their hands, played with their hair, told them words he should have only been speaking to her.
“What are you doing here?”

Hello hello!! I’m sure at least a few of you recognize this blog but for those who dont! Hi! I go by Kya, I’m 22 and I’ve been rping Chigusa for QUITE some time now! I kinda follow tiger(???) mod where ever she goes which is how I ended up here lol My blog is up and running! Chigusa couldn’t believe it. She’d come to the theme park all the time and she always saw him but she never expected this: A kiss on the cheek. She’d seen him around, of course, sometimes selling food, sometimes (like right now) at the games, how could she not? He was very handsome but she’d never admit that if you asked. He told her if she faced her fear and popped a balloon, he’d give her a prize (even though normally you had to pop 3...maybe that should’ve been her first hint that something was up..) but this was not the prize she was expecting. Chigusa’s face lit up bright red. She felt the heat in her cheeks and knew immediately she was blushing. Dammit. “W-why did you do that...!?”

Chigusa cheeped almost like a little chick and slapped her hand onto her face where the boy had planted his lips. “Small boy!” She said quickly with a hint of harshness. She didn’t know why he kissed her on the cheek. She’d never seen him before. “Why did you do that!?” Chigusa felt flustered. Little signs of affection always got to her no matter who they were from.
