Her mother would have a heart attack if she found out that Naeun was walking around her neighbourhood at three in the morning instead of being at home, in her bedroom sleeping. What she doesn’t know is that ever since the age of fourteen, when she was tall enough to climb down the tree by her bedroom window, her nightly endeavours has become a thing for the teen. Admittedly it took a few times for her to do so without acquiring any injuries during her trip down. To a certain degree, it helps Naeun clear her mind out of her screaming thoughts that bombarded her during the day.
On some nights, much like this night, it allows her to make new friends too. Despite it being too late. Especially when the first ‘friend’ she meets is a stray kitten, that she contemplated sneaking back home before it ran off. Naeun being an animal lover, had no other option but to follow the little one walk ahead of her. But when the kitten ends up tangling it’self on a stranger’s feet, Naeun stops and sheepishly smiles at the guy, silently praying that this encounter wouldn’t lead into any trouble.
“Oh sorry... I’ll just take her from you.” She moves to take the kitten, but halts thinking ‘what if he was the kitten’s owner?’, now that would be awkward. “Or not...?” Leaving the question hanging, to see if he would object to her picking up the little cat.
