it’s just two issues surrounding things that supposedly took place in the early iron man days (like VERY early iron man days, all-gold armor days). characterization is eeeehhhhh though. there’s a lot that clashes with the original stuff. this is probably a backstory revamp that obviously failed because no one ever considers it

i don’t regret reading it though. it’s not anything i’m gonna count as 616 canon but it has its charming moments and that cheap overwhelmingly colorful art that i think is cute and mostly it all makes me feel nostalgic for v3 (because we all know i have a v3 bias) even though……. busiek kind of contradicts his own v3 characterization for tony a lot but like. still a step up from everything that’s happening post remender imo
