A.K.A the Spirit of Roanoke and the Queen of Steam, she is also a funky streamlined tender engine like my other Serena the C38 Class Engine (Although she is Aussie, while this one is from the USA), and she can pull many and a dozen of freight just like Henry, Donald & Douglas and Murdoch do
American Locomotive Company
This is an Alco RS11 in Decatur, Illinois. The Norfolk & Western gobbled up the Wabash, which is the lineage of the line we’re on here in Central Illinois, but having said that, I think this particular unit was purchased for the N&W as new around 1959.
