Javier grins, a mischievous grin tugging at his full, plush lips. There were many, many faces that flashed through his mind, though one in particular seems to give Javier a good chuckle,

“Thane. Although Fishboy would probably sell me to the Anderrans for a tin of biscuits, he can’t lie for shit. He’s an honest guy.”

His face drops, however, his thumb coming to rest between his teeth, as if having to physically fight back words he thought better of saying,

“Look, it’s not that I don’t trust Sergio, but...I don’t. Not really. Val and Peter are easy to read, they’re marshals, they’d get their badges tattooed on ‘em if they could. But, hell, Sergio? The detective born with a silver spoon up his ass? I’d sooner get kicked in the teeth then listen to anything he had to say. Too many secrets with people like him- and none of ‘em are the good kind.”

Before Javier could elaborate, however, his face smoothly transitions back into a brighter, happier look- clearly attempting to leave the conversation involving Sergio behind him,

“I like molerta. It’s a local dish made with the insects that come ‘round the river during mating season. They fry up the grub until they’re crispy and drench it in hot sauce. Val and Rosalie had a fit of a time trying to get it down when I showed ‘em what it was. Thane and Peter were trying to decide who was gonna slap me upside the head first,” He laughs, a look of ease was etched onto his face, “good times.”
