This administration is shit.
Aside from everything else the Trump admin has brought about, this pisses me off more than the rest.
I am an environmental engineering student. Keeping up with data under the NAAQS and the CAA is kind of my bread and butter. I live in Appalachia, which is under reported on to begin with. But I cannot find any data on anything from anywhere.
Pages ran by both state and federal EPA’s are completely missing, and I know they were there before, because I still have the URL’s in reference pages for other papers.
The only data I have is my own, raw data taken by my professor and I.
You guys have no fucking clue how frustrating this is. I know what the levels should be, but cannot find anywhere that is actively reporting the levels for the public eye. And, since my professor and I are doing this for fun, I can’t use the data we’ve pulled. So, I’m left using data from a paper I wrote in July 2016 because I know it’s reliable and some of the sources are still available.
I’m a very angry environmentalist at the moment. Very angry.
We breathe this air. We breathe these pollutants. The public deserves to know the AQI, what parameters they are reporting from, and their exact locations. The public should know when it’s safe for asthmatics to leave their homes, or when it’s safe for those with Sulfur sensitivities to breathe outdoors.
And Ozone levels are oh-so important in the summer time. I can’t find a single site reporting them!
I’m just pissed off, y’all.
