SAARC Scouting
The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation or SAARC is a union of ^^ these countries of South Asia. All these countries take part in scouting & it has done a lot for the betterment of the ties between these countries.
The first Scout Jamboree was held in 1990 in Sri Lanka. Annual SAARC Scouting Events have been held ever since.
The First SAF-Scout Friendship Camp in Bhutan in February. (SAF or South Asia Foundation is a non-profit, non-political organization). The second one was held in the Maldives the following year. This was a continuous, annual event.
A SAARC Scout Friendship camp was held in 2012 by the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association, and in 2011 by Bhutan. That was the first Scout Friendship camp.

Scouting Regions
World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) has six geographical subdivisions. The headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland.
European Region
The region comprises of 41 National Scout Organizations. Some of these countries are Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany & Poland.
The offices are in Geneva, Switzerland, Brussels, Belgium, Belgrade, Serbia and Veles, Macedonia.
Arab Region
With the headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, scouting in this region is gaining popularity fast. The region comprises 18 members including Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Africa Region
The Africa Scout Region has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, & has more regional offices in Cape Town, South Africa, and Dakar, Senegal. It has 32 member organizations in countries like Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius & Zimbabwe.
Asia-Pacific Region
This region has its headquarters in Makati City, Philippines, with satellite offices in Australia and Japan. It was founded in 1956 & has gone from 10 members to 27 as of now. The Maldives is one of these members, making us a part of this region.
The chairman of this region is Ahmad Rusdi & the regional director is Jose Rizal Pangilinan.
Eurasian Region
Eurasian Scout Region is headquartered in Kiev, Ukraine & also has a branch office in Moscow, Russia. Member countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Moldova & the Russian Federation.
Interamerican Region
The head office of this region is in Ciudad del Saber, Panama. It also supports 34 National Scout Organization in both North & South America.
