DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - More Than A Game - Closing Ceremonies Abridged

We got there very late, considering that the festivities got cut short by rain, but here were the very few highlights of the tail end of the Closing Ceremonies Block Party on High Street, between Broad and Long Streets.

The 2022 Gay Softball World Series again will be held in Dallas, Texas.

DJBC Tumblr Summer 21 - Gay Softball World Series Opening Ceremony (Camera Edition)

September has been rough on us, going from event to event, working hard, and working even harder on The DJBC Happy Hour and The Bryan Awards.

The Gay Softball World Series kicked off September with a softball tournament featuring 250 Softball Teams from the United States and Canada, playing at Berliner Park.

The Opening Ceremonies were held at Columbus Commons, with live entertainment, and Fireworks at Dusk.

Next year's Softball World Series will be held in Dallas, and the Dallas softball players in attendance that we bumped into said that Columbus did a superb job hosting.

The Gay Softball World Series in Columbus has been postponed to next year, which will be the third time Columbus has hosted the Gay Softball World Series.  Here are highlights from the tournament the last time it was in Columbus, back in 2015.

DJBC Tumblr Summer Throwback - NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series Opening Ceremonies (2015)

The NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series were supposed to kick off with opening ceremonies today in Columbus.  Due to COVID-19, those have been shifted to next year.  Here are highlights from the Opening Ceremony the last time that Columbus hosted the Gay Softball World Series, in 2015.

DJBC Tumblr Summer Flashback - NAGAAA Softball World Series (2010)

The North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA) Softball World Series was supposed to have kicked off today in Columbus.  However, due to COVID-19, Columbus will host the NAGAAA Softball World Series next year.  Here are highlights from the first time that Columbus hosted the Softball World Series in 2010, which was also the first time that ALL of the Softball Tournament Games were held at the same location - Berliner Park on the South Side of Columbus.

Birmingham's New South Softball League teams are really representing at this year's Atlanta Big Peach Softball Tournament this Memorial Day weekend. We've learned that the Birmingham Defenders just beat Atlanta''s top C team, the Atlanta Sharks 13-8 and will face Tampa Bay No. 1 ranked team (Goonies). Birmingham's D-Class No Filter, now undefeated, is playing the Tampa Bay Jokers for the championship game.
