It has been a year and four months since I asked here due to my busy schedule and trying to get used to being an adult in reality XD

I want to ask for a NagaShiro of a what if where these two used to be exes (probably met much earlier before the canon story started), Shiro, or Addy, met Nagare (probably in his early 20s, like 21 or 22) through Kotosaka in his blimp, having this long distance relationship through a bird as they are indeed both lonely kings.

Then the break up occurs years later because of a petty argument. The argument is so petty that Nagare accidentally caused the entire chain of events by sending the Colorless King to Shiro's blimp to prank him (this time, Tatara and Mikoto is alive for this XD) (Nagare is very much trying hard to fix this situation but failing, stressed af XD)

Then we know what happened to the rest XD then skipped to the Christmas incident. Instead of Nagare taking the Slates, he went begging Shiro for forgiveness. Shiro actually retorted back and these two started a heated argument while the clans watched these two exes going back and forth as they argued in the middle of the room (for context, Jungle had no idea that their King actually had a real relationship because Nagare hid that fact from them).

Despite this, it's so awkward as these two love still each other despite the bitter petty separation as Nagare cleared the misunderstanding (Shiro warned him not to kiss him right now as he is not in his original body, have their first kiss only when he's back to his original body, also the first time he finally saw his ex's real face and why is he this cute and it's so unfair that he still chose to forgive and they are both idiots in love–).

Imagine all the other clans have this very serious plot in the background where they’re trying to stop Colorless and worried about the Slates being released and all that, and meanwhile Hisui thinks this is all a funny prank to get his ex to get back together with him XD Imagine poor lonely Hisui, who only has Iwafune and Kotosaka to spend time with and he really longs to have some kind of connection with another person. Say he’s older in this AU so he’s not used to living underground with just a couple people to talk to. He cares about Iwafune but it isn’t the same, maybe he was a bit lonely even before he became King and there’s like this longing now that he’s changed to really finally make a connection. He doesn’t feel like even any potential clansmen would really understand though, since he’s a King, and even Iwafune can’t entirely relate because Hisui has the whole ‘power where his heart is’ thing. Hisui is aware of the existence of the Silver King and finds himself thinking of Weismann often, like this person is immortal so maybe they would understand me. All the early jungle missions about lighting the ‘candle’ are in this AU Hisui’s way of trying to learn more about Weismann, until finally one day he feels bold enough to send Kotosaka to one of the places where he knows Weismann sometimes picks people up.

Weismann is curious enough at seeing the random parrot that he lands and Hisui greets him through Kotosaka’s mouth. Imagine at first Weismann isn’t interested in talking with him, wary about dealing with such a secretive King and anyway he left that world of Kings and clans. Hisui is determined though and he manages to slowly wear down Weismann’s defenses, until they finally form a rapport. It would be interesting because in a way they’re both shut off from the rest of the world but in different ways, Hisui can only see the world through screens and Kotosaka’s eyes and Weismann can only look down at what’s below him. It’s in getting to know Weismann that Hisui ultimately decides to abandon his dream of awakening the Slate, like imagine his connection with Weismann makes Hisui realize that no dream is worth this person hating him. Hisui decides to tell this to Weismann one day, adding the part about how he tried to kill Kokujouji once and regrets it now, and unfortunately Hisui is socially awkward enough that he doesn’t understand why Weismann reacts poorly to this. They have a fight about it and Weismann stops letting Kotosaka into the blimp.

In truth Weismann just needed some time to calm down and would have started talking with Hisui again if he’d just waited, but Hisui is so worried that Weismann won’t talk to him anymore that he decides he needs to do something about this. Colorless has just appeared and Hisui thinks oh this person seems eager, perhaps I can have him go play a funny prank on the Silver King and we can reconcile. Unfortunately Hisui overlooked the whole ‘crazy King who wants to defeat all the other Kings’ thing and so season one happens except Totsuka doesn’t die this time because Hisui gave Colorless a prank gun to use on Weismann (Weismann can’t die, Hisui thought it would be King humor). Homra is still concerned though because they think Colorless tried to kill Totsuka and it was just a lucky break that the gun didn’t work. Meanwhile Weismann becomes Shiro and meets Neko and Kuroh and everything, and the whole time S1 is happening imagine Hisui in the jungle basement trying to figure out how his silly prank turned out so wrong.

In the end maybe Shiro kills Colorless but disappears and Hisui is desperate to find where he went. Hisui asks Yukari to maybe see if that Strain girl in Homra would be able to help, Yukari misunderstands and commits a kidnapping instead. Everyone thinks Hisui sent Yukari and Douhan to attack Mihashira to get the Slate but actually he was trying to verify if Weismann’s body was still safe. Then Shiro comes back in ROK, right as Hisui sends Yukari to please politely ask Neko and Kuroh if they know what happened to the Silver King, Hisui is really worried okay. Shiro is so upset that Hisui would turn evil this way and try to steal the Slate and meanwhile Hisui is just continually failing at explaining that no, he doesn’t want to do that, he just wants Shiro to be his boyfriend again. 

This culminates in a tense stand-off at Mihashira, Shiro thinking that at last Hisui has come to steal the Slate…and Hisui immediately gets down on one knee to beg for forgiveness (all the clans staring like ‘…..eh??’). Shiro is so confused and imagine them arguing over each other for a bit, Shiro passionately trying to get Hisui to abandon his plan of stealing the Slate and Hisui being like but I wasn’t doing that, my prank went all wrong and I just wanted to make you love me again. Shiro’s all ‘prank…?’ and ultimately they make up, the Red and Blue clans are perhaps a little put out that they had to deal with all this trouble and it was just a lover’s spat. Though now Hisui has to figure out how to get Shiro back in his own body, he’s very insistent that when they kiss for the first time it should be with Shiro’s proper body, and Shiro is like that’s fine but just no more pranks okay.

The reconciliation between silver and green had been hard enough for most to understand, the slow transition to friends and then more had been even harder, even for those caught in the flow of it. However, even stranger to all but the two that knew them best, was the fact that whenever they were in the same room, with all crowns – metaphorical or otherwise – set aside, they would be cuddled together. It didn’t matter who was there to witness it, or that it could be seen as a weakness in the eyes of some. When asked about it Shiro would smile, completely serene, and Nagare would change the subject but make no effort to move away from his partner. It was only Kuroh and Iwafune who would see the way the most ancient of kings who had been alone for decades leant into the slightest touch, or how, the king who had been everywhere all at once revelled in being anchored to one place.

This is her headcanon about her favourite K ship : Fem!Shiro x Nagare

She wrote me their whole story and it’s honestly very cute and warm, if you want to read it and understand the gift better, you can read it under the cut !

First Meeting • Remember the scene where Shiro looked up at the bird the moment she interefered the battle between Yukari and Kuroh. That's how they met. With Shiro's face so serious while Nagare grinning in his wheelchair in a dark surrounding

Rejection • Episode 5. Ken. Shiro rejected Nagare's proposal to join him in his world of change. Shiro sitting on the rooftop oh so serious while Nagare smirked at the other line, saying "I will take the slates by force"

War of their Final Battle • At the last episode where Shiro and Nagare had a face off together. Shiro trying protect herself with her umbrella from Nagare's electrifying punches. They had a flash of memory of them, being with their clansmen as they ate together in the table.

Hope and Survival • After the Slates is destroyed and Shiro goes back to her original body, Hakumaitou goes back down to JUNGLE HQ to check out the damage and just investigate the place. They're shock to see Nagare somehow lived along with Nagare. They found them bruised and injured from the fall of the debris. Nagare looked up to Shiro with a shock face, bleeding while Shiro is also shock too, looking down at him.

Second Chance • Nagare and Iwa-san are hospitalized and their clansmen is glad to see them. Unfortunately, Munakata with his clansmen was about to make arrest on JUNGLE, mainly Nagare. Before they do so, however, Shiro intervened under the shock of their previous enemy. She insisted to make peace and she literally argued Scepter 4 to give them a chance for a new home and new life, promising them that they will change, maybe convincing the school to let the JUNGLE live in the dorm in another room on the island.

Awkward • Hakumaitou continues to check on them, usually Shiro with Neko or Kuroh to make sure she is safe. Nagare and Shiro had awkward moments like doesn't know which one of them will talk while having a funny face, sitting across each other in the table while the clansmen watched with a blank expression

Friends • Similar to the previous scene but with Nagare having a small smile on his face while Shiro is grinning like a goof XD

A Lingering Feeling • They had a weird expression, looking away each other, not understanding why they felt a warm feeling in their chest, holding it whenever they are together

Realization • Nagare probably had no idea he was in love with her until he asked Iwa-san about it, sitting together in the living while Iwa-san drank some beer. Iwa-san even choked on his drink when he heard this and their conversations are like: "Well, uh, Nagare. Sounds to me like you have a crush on the silver king." He also added. "You should tell her." With a warm smile. Nagare had a scared look on his face because he is afraid to say what he felt. He looked down at his lap for a moment before speaking up. "No. I think it's best to keep these feelings hidden." Shiro found out that she has feelings for Nagare when Kukuri noticed her being nervous with Nagare old the time and told her that she liked him. Shiro is like: (￣ω￣)... (⊙_⊙)

Confession • Sitting on the couch together for a while, half paying attention to the TV while being nervous for some reason, Shiro turned to him with her cheeks dusted a light pink, with her next words. "I need to tell you something." Outside, Nagare is calm, inside, he is panicking as he asked. "Yes?" Those three words came out from Shiro's mouth change their lives together.

Feelings • Nagare's face was on fire as he and Shiro held hands, sitting on the couch, with Shiro pecking him on his cheek. Their feelings became mutual after the confession.

Moments • Shiro is 5'8" while Nagare is 5'9". If Shiro wore heals, she's taller than the poor boi XD. They went on a date with Shiro dragging Nagare into the city, doing the classic couple dates. Poor Nagare ends up getting a sunburn because he's so pale and hasn't seen the sun for years. Their moments end with Shiro treating his sunburn

Years Went By • Years came by and Shiro and Nagare's bond strengthened, even their clans are in good terms. Nagare has more emotion and Shiro couldn't be more happier. Nagare was holding a small box in his hand, hinting that he'll propose to her.

Matrimony • Nagare and Shiro had a wedding in a chapel, congratulating the couple. This is what there wedding looks like: Nagare and Shiro kissed with flower petals falling on them... with Iwa-san crying in the background for his zombie son.

Two Unborn • Shiro announces to Nagare that she's pregnant with twins. Nagare is so happy that he fainted with a red face LOL

The Little Hope and Miracle • Their twins are born crying. Shiro and Nagare held them as his wife laid in the hospital bed. They looked like him and for the first time, a tear fell from his eye as Shiro caressed his cheek while holding their twins, boy and girl. Kazuki and Kiseki.

Another One? • The four year old twins hugging Shiro, who has a big belly, expecting another child as Nagare hugged behind her. Her twins will say "I'm a big brother/big sister now!"

Angel • A face of an angel with silver hair like her mother, Klaudia was being surrounded by her family in a crib, her sibling twins holding her stuffed toys while Shiro and Nagare watched with smiles on their faces

Love • Group family hug with JUNGLE and Hakumaitou, with hearts on the background

Family • A family picture with Klaudia 5 year old in the middle, the 9 year old twins by her side, their parents behind them, hugging them, with JUNGLE and Hakumaitou behind the couple as well

Home • Their new home behind them, as the dorm has been updated into an apartment or condo. The scene was the two opposing clans eating at the dinner table happily, with the three addition with them and live happily ever after

NagaShiro where Shiro accidentally caught Nagare being alive when he was supposed to be dead:

Person A: “How the hell are you still alive?”

Person B: “Honestly, I’m just as confused as you are.”

The ‘accidentally’ part of that made me laugh, like Shiro didn’t mean to find Hisui alive it just happened okay. Imagine this like immediately post-ROK, when all the cleanup at the destroyed jungle hideout is still going on. S4 is handling most of it but Shiro does come down to have a look, maybe to help with removing the airship since that bit of mess is technically his fault after all. He’s looking into the crater where the Slate was and he has this weird feeling, like nostalgia tugging at him and he can’t explain it. No one is really looking at him so he grabs his umbrella and Mary Poppins his way into the destroyed hideout. While it’s mostly rubble there are a few places where things are intact and Shiro finds himself wandering around, looking at the remains of the Dresden Slate.

Suddenly he hears a noise and turns, umbrella at the ready. Some rubble shifts to the side and then Hisui Nagare sits up, rubbing at his head and looking largely intact besides some scrapes and bruises, and there’s a notable green glow where his heart should be. Shiro lowers his umbrella, totally shocked, and Hisui looks up at him for a moment before saying ‘Silver King.’ Shiro swallows his shock and asks how Hisui is still alive, Hisui pauses to take stock of his current condition before admitting that he’s just as confused as Shiro is. His heart hasn’t returned to normal and the rest of his powers seem to be gone but the power that kept him alive is still there. Hisui doesn’t know how he ended up here though, and walking over to him Shiro notices that there are what appear to be shards of the Dresden Slate by Hisui’s feet. Shiro quietly picks one up and murmurs ‘is this your way of saying we should give him a second chance,’ Hisui looks up at him curiously. Shiro says he doesn’t intend to let Hisui run wild again, however it seems like this is something else that he’s supposed to take responsibility for and in that case he can’t just run away. He holds out a hand to Hisui and asks Hisui to come with him, and to see if things can change.

NagaShiro being drunk with either of them saying this "You look almost as pretty as this moon." "That's a street lamp." "And you're almost as pretty."

Imagine this is like the first time Hisui has actually had alcohol and Shiro was unaware of it until this moment. Like Everybody Lives AU, sure Shiro knows that Hisui loved underground for most of his life but Hisui also lived with a barely functioning alcoholic, surely Iwafune let him try a beer at least once. When he invites Hisui out drinking Hisui doesn’t say anything about having difficulties with alcohol so Shiro thinks it’s fine, he doesn’t even drink that much himself really so he’s not concerned about overdoing it. It isn’t until he notices the way Hisui’s voice is slurring slightly after a few drinks that it occurs to Shiro he should have asked about alcohol tolerance. 

Shiro decides it would be best to get Hisui home, probably worried about how he’s going to explain this to Iwafune or Yukari, that he got their King drunk. Hisui is in a pretty good mood though, now he understands why Iwa-san enjoys beer so much. Shiro laughs nervously like maybe we shouldn’t tell him how many drinks you had and Hisui says it will be fine, Iwa-san has had many more drinks than him and will understand. Shiro isn’t so sure about that and Hisui is like no, no, it will be all right. Shiro sighs and then Hisui leans back and wonders if he’s told Shiro how beautiful he is. Shiro stops dead at that and Hisui gestures upwards as he says ‘you are almost as beautiful as this moon.’ Shiro is very touched for a moment before he realizes that it’s cloudy out and you can’t see the moon, and also that is a streetlight. Hisui just takes that in stride, saying Shiro is almost as beautiful as the streetlight. Shiro laughs sheepishly like ‘thank…you…?’. Hisui is pleased with himself that he finally said it, Shiro says maybe we can talk about this tomorrow when you’re not drunk.

NagaShiro when their conversation led to this:

Person A: “Being immortal is no excuse to be so reckless with your life!”

Person B: “It’s a perfect excuse actually.”

Imagine this as some kind of AU where either Hisui was never the bad guy or he somehow has a redemption arc in S2 Everybody Lives scenario so he’s on the side of the good guys but also the Slate is still around and the Kings all still have their powers. That being the case Shiro is still immortal, which comes in surprisingly handy during major emergencies. He’s generally not the one dealing with the major emergencies of course, that’s usually Munakata’s job, but Shiro does step in when needed if no one else is around or if like his clan or Ashinaka was in danger.

One day he’s spending an afternoon talking with Hisui and they’re like out in public at a park or something. Suddenly this Strain shows up and starts threatening to blow people up with their powers, it’s all chaos and screaming. Hisui starts to glow Green and stand but Shiro is like I’ll handle this, rushing right into danger. Imagine there’s this big explosion that Hisui is able to somewhat protect the bystanders from with his powers but he doesn’t see Shiro and he’s starting to get nervous. A moment later Shiro shows up with the unconscious Strain, waving as he’s like no problem no problem. Hisui gets this dissatisfied look as S4 finally shows up to handle the cleanup.

In the aftermath Hisui and Shiro are resting on a bench together and Hisui admits he’s rather irritated that Shiro put himself in danger that way, even though he knows Shiro’s basically immortal. Shiro just waves a hand breezily all that’s exactly why I can put myself in danger and Hisui says that isn’t acceptable. Shiro’s all what and Hisui calmly says even though he is aware of Shiro’s immortality he doesn’t find Shiro putting himself in such situations to be acceptable. Even though Shiro’s immortal his body can still be wounded and he made Hisui very worried. Shiro looks surprised and then he smiles softly all ‘ah, you were worried.’ Hisui wonders if it’s unnatural that he should be worried and Shiro says no, no that’s something very natural actually, and promises to be a little more careful with himself next time.

NagaShiro where:

Person A: “I thought you said, you were going to stop constantly jumping headfirst into danger.”

Person B: “There’s not much I can do, when the danger is the one that keeps finding me.”

Maybe this is an Everybody Lives AU where Shiro and Hisui start dating post-ROK. Hisui is told to keep things somewhat low-key after the events of the series, he’s still alive because the last vestiges of the Slate like lodged themselves in his body but unlike the other Kings he retains no other powers. He doesn’t have to be a burrito anymore but maybe he does still use a wheelchair or mobility aid because he’s basically got the equivalent of a weak heart, he can’t exert himself too much. He considers this the price he had to pay to continue to survive, though it does bother him that he’s not able to be as active as he would like to be in certain situations

.As a former King and someone who is working along with Munakata to reform Japan in the wake of the Slate’s destruction Shiro finds himself often in dangerous situations — Strains who want to take down the Kings who are still trying to keep them in check, or maybe even assassination attempts from people who think Shiro would be an easy target and want to remove the remaining Kings. As such Shiro does end up in dangerous situations often despite himself, he’s really not trying to get himself in trouble it just… keeps happening. This is what really bothers Hisui, because he’s not in a position to physically assist Shiro and would like it very much if Shiro would stop running into danger. Shiro just laughs sheepishly and admits sometimes he forgets he’s not immortal, and anyway danger often seems to find him. Hisui decides if he can’t stop Shiro though he’ll become someone who can help protect him, imagine him like resurrecting jungle’s systems to an extent so that he can at least do security and reconnaissance work to keep Shiro safe. Shiro insists that Hisui doesn’t need to do that, he should try enjoying being a normal person for as long as he can, and Hisui just calmly says that being normal will have to wait until danger stops finding Shiro.
