A huge leap of faith for the men of Pentecost Island...
Nagol is a traditional land diving custom, a precursor to bungee jumping, performed by men on Vanuatu’s Pentecost Island as a kind of fertility right.
Vines are are tied round the ankles and jumpers leap from a huge tower 20 to 30 metres high, built in the trees.
