Character: Naihi was the absolute ace of my team and I was super lucky to catch her. I’m also lucky no one died trying to catch her because she nearly killed half my team. She is a Super Luck adamant Absol with Megahorn and very solid EVs. She’s a monster. And I already had a razor claw so every hit was a crit and she was unstoppable. I like the ambitious, knight errant route I went with her personality and how it played off the rest of the team.
Design: I went for a thylacoleo/lion/pronghorn vibe for this design. I almost drew her with her mouth open because I wanted to show off her awesome dentition, but decided against it in the end. Oh well. Basically she has fangs and then four enormous slicing teeth. Look up thylacoleo skulls is you want to see something wild. Predatory marsupials are way out there morphologically and I love it.
Species: Absol are often considered bad omens because they appear before disasters, but some peoples revere them for this ability because they provide a warning. Their tails can move at the base allowing them to use it for communication and wield it quite accurately as a weapon. Absol can have the horn on either side and this almost always matches up with their dominant forepaw. Naihi is a lefty like almost %50 of the Absol population.
Variant: Longclaw Absol are one of the rarest variants and are found in mountainous regions at high elevation. They are stockier with thicker pelts, darker points, and much longer claws than others. They are preferred by some trainers for their battle prowess but are also difficult to train.
