Your mind does not know the difference between experiencing something in imagination and experiencing that same thing in the physical world.
This means that no matter what, if you imagine anything and feel it real, then your brain believes that you are really experiencing it. The imaginal act does not even have to be complex or extremely detailed. You simply need to believe that you are truly experiencing it, and it will feel real to your mind.
The importance of an imaginal act in manifesting is this: what you actually desire is the feeling. When you desire a lover, you are desiring the feeling this lover will give you. If you are desiring a job, you are desiring the feeling this job will give you. Whether that be love, security, peace, happiness, etc. it is that feeling that you are desiring. By experiencing an imaginal act of your desire fulfilled, then you are satisfying that desire in imagination (you are granting yourself the feeling that you desire). This will then change your self and will change your state. The change in state and the persistence in that state will bring about the physical manifestation of that which you once desired, because imagination is the cause. What you feel and believe internally will always and without fail be expressed externally.
The Law of Assumption, as described by Neville Goddard, is the law that states that what you assume must be manifested in reality. Your beliefs create your Self Concept, which determines what is manifested. If you assume that life is hard, you are poor, and that manifestation is not real, then that is what you will experience in your world. Your consciousness is very obedient and will reflect your Self back to you, whether it's positive or negative. There is only what you are being.
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
Well, how is that possible? How is it that changing your assumptions, imagining something new, and granting it reality changes the world around you? Well, reality is consciousness. Consciousness is your state of being, what is truly you. You are not your body. Think about how you can feel your senses in your mind. You can imagine touching a soft patch of grass, smelling a fresh pot of coffee, tasting a fresh, tangy orange, hearing a new song, and seeing a shooting star. You can access all your senses within. So, if you're not your body, you are something greater. And in this world, your imagination, anything is possible. You can imagine literally anything. You have all the power within your mind. You also cannot imagine something if it didn't exist, because our brains do not create new things; they only access what they already know. So, if you can imagine it, it can be manifested. The only thing that truly matters is what is going on inside you, in your imagination. In truth, the physical world that you experience and your internal imaginal world are one and the same, only seemingly separated by your senses. So, making something real in imagination means that you can make it real in this physical world.
𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬
Now that you know that consciousness is what determines your reality, you should know how to change it. You do not need to be stuck where you are, no matter your circumstances. You can always change your reality. This is done by changing your state. It's as simple as changing your belief/assumption about whatever it is you want to manifest. For example, if you want to be luckier, you just assume that you are lucky. That's the simplest form of changing your state. If that is too daunting, you can always use methods to help you change your state, but they're not needed. You can meditate and visualize yourself in a lucky situation, or you can affirm that you are lucky until you fall asleep. You can do anything that helps you change your state.
TL;DR: Your state is your state of being. What are you currently aware of being? What assumptions are you currently living in? It's important to analyze this so that you can change your Self Concept and make your life a lot easier.
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞-𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝
Now, once you change your state, you can no longer dwell in your previous state. Think about this: you cannot be both rich and poor, beautiful and ugly, sad and happy. You can only be one, so once you have changed your state, you must fully and completely dwell in that new assumption. Neville calls this forgiveness: forgiving (letting go of) your previous state and fully integrating into the new one.
If you still find yourself thinking from your previous state, then that is your sign that you have not successfully changed your state, and that should be your indicator to get yourself back on the right path, return to your new state, and persist in that.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 "𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝" 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫
I don't usually like to separate the imaginal and the physical, because they are the same and only seemingly separate because of the way we live our lives, but for the sake of understanding, it can be useful. It may help you to think of the imaginal world as the source and the physical world as the mirror. Whatever is true in the imaginal world will be reflected in the physical. It must be reflected. It is not a suggestion or something you need to force or work hard for. It will be reflected no matter what.
𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲
Once most people learn about the law, they start wondering what is possible to manifest. You are once again lending too much reality to the physical world. Why are you letting others dictate what is possible for you? If you can truly believe that you have what you desire, then it doesn't matter what others think. It will be reflected in your reality. Stop allowing others (and even yourself) to limit what you can manifest, because anything is possible. You can manifest your celebrity SP, you can manifest millions of dollars, and you can get yourself that mansion if that is truly what you want. It's all up to you.
Well, it sure has been a while! The thing about me and this blog is that it's more of an archive for you guys (and myself as well) and I just log in when I feel like there is something new or relevant I want to share.
Anyway! Today I felt the urge to make a post about the idea of "falling off." I mostly want to address these kinds of questions/predicaments: "What do I do when I stop practicing the law?" and "What do I do when I stop believing in the law?"
It's happened more times than I'd care to admit in these past two years since I stopped posting regularly. I find that I'll have a lot of success and then I get comfortable there and stop being responsible with my routine. Then, by losing my routine, I slowly allow my senses and the outer world to dictate my state, and then you know how that goes...
Either way, it doesn't exactly matter how it happens, it only matters that we can get back on it and return to the place where we were before.
It's crazy how much reacting to (and living primarily in) the physical world affects your mental state. In my experience, it gets more and more negative if you're not aware of it, and soon enough, you become a pessimist, and you're constantly manifesting unlucky and negative aspects into your life. The great thing about this, though, is that you can change it. You are never stuck in a state. Whether the state is negative or positive, it is not immovable or unchangeable. Whatever you are experiencing, hearing, or seeing in your physical world is just a reflection of your state. So, since you have lost your belief in the law, you'll start to see more people criticizing and belittling people who do believe in the law. Maybe you will see more "failure" stories, and you may see more negativity in general surrounding the law. This does not mean that those things are true. They are simply what your self is reflecting onto your outer reality based on your self-concept. It may feel difficult to leave this state, but it's as simple as deciding you believe in the law again. You can just as easily return to that state of faith, trust, and power you had occupied before you stopped practicing. And I know this because I have done it myself. You will always have another excuse, another reason, and another fear that will keep you in this limited state. Just let go and return to that feeling.
For some people, I'm sure it's just as easy as intending to return to your desired state. That isn't my own personal experience, though. It can take some convincing. I approach this by re-learning everything I knew before. I need to first place myself in a calm mindful state (which is easier than immediately placing myself in a state of full, confident belief in the law) and start to consume my favorite content. I read Neville Goddard's Lectures and books, listen to Edward Art's YouTube channel, and read his main series, and then I begin to test the law. This is the best way to build belief in the law. Just test it with things that don't matter. Most people like to manifest seeing a specific color insect, getting free food, or finding a dollar on the street, but I approach testing differently before I do that. Instead of saying that I want to see a green car and then waiting to see it in my life, I just start to notice my surroundings. I'll begin to see that the thing I dreamed about the night before ended up happening, that something I was thinking about was brought up in conversation without my initiation, or that something I wanted to do is now planned by someone in my life. These things, which are not deliberately manifested by me, increase my belief in the law because I recognized that I did not even have to try to make things happen for my imagination to show me the truth in the law of assumption. Only then will I start deliberately manifesting because I feel much more confident that it will happen.
With this process, I have been able to go from a negative, unlucky, unfaithful person, to a fulfilled, lucky, and positive person within days (or sometimes hours depending on my own willingness to change). Just know that even the best of us struggle to stay on top of this way of life all the time. Remember there is very little effort in this process. It's really a letting go of your old self and allowing yourself to be open and receptive to the law again.
Hope you guys are doing well! See you again soon ♡
There have been times when I have been stuck questioning myself "Shouldn't I be focusing my energy and my imaginal acts on something bigger?" Through this thought, I realized that I have felt this way because there must be something I am denying myself. Some desire that I have failed to satisfy.
Maybe you are imagining yourself getting a job that seems "reasonable" or "achievable" but your true desires lie in another path, career, or passion. You can have all things through imagination. There is nothing impossible to the inner man. You can imagine anything and if you can imagine it, then it can be manifested. It can be reflected in the outer world because all things come from within.
If you desire the so-called achievable job and that truly satisfies you, then that should be enough for you not to be second-guessing your imaginal act. If it does not satisfy you, then continue to go within and fulfill yourself once again. Neville says that the only way to live in sin is not to satisfy your desires, so satisfy all of them, whether they feel "big" or "small."
“The condition which I desired and assumed that I had, becomes objectified within my world and bears witness to the power of my assumption.”
Summary: think outside the boundaries of the 3D world. Think beyond the things that have happened in the physical world, what could happen, what's possible. Think outside of reason, the rules of the world, think outside of logic. Allow your desires to be impossible, magical, and instant. Allow yourself to be free from the constrictions of what life has taught you it is.
Concepts Discussed: The Inner world, Self-Concept, The 4D, Instant manifestation, The Carnal Mind: The conscious mind, The Mind of Christ: The subconscious mind, The sabbath, and The importance of your inner world (mental diet).
The conscious mind is strapped by reason and the 3D world.
It can only experience the present moment as reality
Because it is physically in front of you and you can experience it, it feels more real than anything else (but it isn't).
The past only feels like an illusion and the future doesn’t exist yet
It does not think that it can access or change the past or future
The 4D is the subconscious mind.
In here, the past, present, and future are all happening at the same time, now.
Leave the 3D alone and take time to nurture the 4D, your inner world.
When you go into your imagination and create a new reality there, you are effectively changing your state. By assuming the wish fulfilled and walking in that assumption (thinking from and acting as if), you will be persisting in that state.
“A concrete reality, displaced in time”
5th Chapter of the Gospel of Mark (3 stories)
“Be not afraid, only believe”
Fear is the absence of faith.
To be fearful is to go against your belief in the law of assumption, in your own belief in yourself.
“Are you living in the dead past?”
The past no longer exists at this moment. It is completely changeable and it has no power over you now. The only way you can give it power is by assuming that the past is immovable and unchangeable. Your own assumptions based on your past are what are holding you back.
“If you are living among the dead, your prejudices, your superstitions, and your false beliefs that you keep alive are the tombstones behind which you hide.”
When you refuse to let go of the old man, state, beliefs, and assumptions you have carried with you for so long, you refuse to change your inner reality. If you do not change your inner reality, you won't change your outer reality.
The 4D reveals a new approach to life.
Dying to the old state and resurrecting to the new state is how you change yourself.
Think outside the boundaries of the senses.
Don't allow yourself to be stuck within the laws and rules of logic and reason.
Get rid of limitations.
Cleanse your mind of your former concept of self
“As your mind is cleansed of your former concept of self, you assume you are what you want to be, and remaining faithful to this assumption, you give form to your assumption.”
“But now having assumed that I AM what formerly I desired to be, I cannot continue desiring what I AM conscious of being. So I do not discuss it. I talk to no one concerning what I AM. It is so obvious to me that I AM what I wanted to be that I walk as though I were.”
You stay true and faithful to your assumption and then you walk through life as though you have it. THINK FROM IT.
“When you do become cleansed and you are free, then the womb, your own mind is automatically healed. It becomes the prepared ground where seeds, your desires, can take root and grow into manifestation.”
Die to your old state, feed your mind for your new state, tell no one, walk in that assumption, and persist.
“Things I am not attentive to fade and wither within my world, regardless of what they are.”
Since you created everything in your experience, you have the ability to remove your attention from them.
“They are not born and then remain unfed. I gave them birth by reason of the fact that I became conscious of being them. When I embody them within my world that is not the end. That is the beginning. Now I am a mother who must keep alive this state by being attentive to it.”
By removing your attention from what is undesirable in your life, you are starving it.
Things in your life are fed by attention. Remove your attention from that which you do not desire and turn your attention on that which you love.
Your attention must remain on your new state
Do not revert back, only feed your desired state.
“Close the door to your senses”
The 3D world is merely a reflection. It is not the source. It is not concrete and immovable. It is not unchangeable. The 4D world is the true source. Imagination is the source.
So, close the door to the physical world and move only in your imagination. Grant yourself your desires, become who you desire to be, and leave reason, limitations, judgment, and other people’s opinions out of there. Here, anything is possible. Anything can happen and you can have anything you desire, no matter how unattainable it may seem. Think about it right now. In your mind, you can have all the money in the world, and you can bring anything you desire into existence. You can have anyone you want, You can be successful and loved and revered. You can love and be loved. You can be anywhere in the universe that you can possibly imagine. You can literally close your eyes and imagine yourself on the moon and it would take absolutely no effort on your part. In imagination, all things are yours and all things are possible. This is the source from which all things in the physical 3D world come from. So, if you truly allow yourself to create, to be, and to give yourself anything you desire, then your 3D world can reflect a magical world filled with all your desires fulfilled.
“I no longer look for confirmation. I completely deny the evidence of my senses, which mock my assumption and do not discuss with others whether my assumption is possible or not.”
You don’t look for confirmation, you don’t ask anyone (even yourself) if it’s possible. It is possible because you said it’s possible. And that’s that. Be stern with yourself. Begin standing up for yourself, your desires, and your imagination. You deserve to have your 3D reflect to you exactly what you want. No less.
“I shut out of that state everything that would deny it” = You literally ignore anything that would go against your desire. You have to be so stubborn. You have to be like a spoiled child, denying anything that does not exactly align with what you want. You don’t take no for an answer, you don’t allow it to half-manifest, and you definitely don’t allow “signs” and “small manifestations” to come. You don’t settle for anything less than you deserve, which is everything you desire, down to the smallest detail.
Creation is man’s I AM
We were always meant to be creators.
Man’s consciousness is GOD. There is no other power out there.
Are you free of conditions?
“Do you believe now that you, without the assistance of another, need only assume that you are what you want to be, to make that assumption real within your world? Or do you believe that you must first fulfill a certain condition imposed upon you by the past, that you must be of a certain order, or a certain something?”
Ask yourself this: are you truly allowing yourself to be the sole power of your experience? Do you truly believe that you can have, be, and experience anything you desire? Do you actually think that you don't need to do anything except imagine yourself as you wish to be and it will come? Or are you still reasoning, doubting, and conditioning?
SELF-CONCEPT
“Of what are you conscious of being?”
Neville begins talking about the importance of the self-concept.
Everything you experience comes from you. Your entire world and reality is created by you. Are you ready to completely accept that everything is coming from imagination?
“Although you cannot see your objective with the limited focus of your three-dimensional mind, you are now that which you have assumed you are. Walk in that assumption and remain faithful to it.”
Even if you can’t see your desire immediately manifested in the physical world, you ARE what you have assumed. Your assumptions, beliefs, and manifestations are true and real. You continue to remain faithful to these new assumptions, this new conception of self, so that it can show itself to you in the physical world. It must be made manifest, there is no exception. If you assume something, and persist in that assumption, it MUST manifest and reflect in the outer world.
“I alone possess the power of the first person.”
I AM - only able to refer to myself. It is a first-person experience as GOD. This is your reality. Your own personal world and experience. Only you can manifest for yourself.
“No man can get in [the pool] before you”
No one can take your manifestations from you
No one can beat you to manifesting something or someone
It’s only you
The Sabbath
“When you are not at all concerned about the opinion of others, when you walk as though you were, you cannot raise one finger to make it so, you are in the Sabbath.”
“I cannot be concerned as to how it will be, and still say I AM conscious of being it”
You are not truly in the state of having what you desire if you are still worrying about how it will come to you.
You would know that you are in the Sabbath if you are no longer questioning.
Because if you already had it, you wouldn’t be concerned about any conditions, because you already have it. If you find yourself in confusing thought patters regarding your manifestations, ask yourself this question: If you already had it, would you be thinking like this?
The Story of the Woman of Samaria
Harvest happens now, not in a period of time
Your imagination gives you fulfillment immediately
You can think of anything and it comes to mind instantly. There are no conditions, reasons, steps, there is no how. You don’t have to do anything but bring it to mind. That is manifestation. That’s all.
The well of everlasting quenched thirst
This refers to your imagination. There is no thirst or hunger in imagination because you can instantly imagine yourself fulfilled. If you are thirsty, you can imagine yourself drinking water. If you are hungry, you can imagine yourself eating anything you desire. If you desire something, you can instantly bring it about in imagination. There is no wait for harvest in imagination, only instant fulfillment.
Your subconscious mind “Sees [your desires] as now in a dimensionally larger world, existing now, taking place now.” It has ways that are outside the limitations of the 3D mind, the conscious mind that you have access to. Allow it to do what it was made for.
“Your five senses impregnate you morning, noon, and night with their limitations”
You are constantly bombarded with the limitations, reasons, rules, and opinions in the 3D world. It takes effort to remove yourself from this cycle and allow yourself freedom from this. They “dictate to you that which you must accept as true.”
Basically, your 3D world is trying to gaslight you into thinking that you have no power.
The story of feeding the ducks (mental diet)
“Man is a psychological being, a thinker.”
“It is not what he feeds upon physically, but what he feeds upon mentally that he becomes. We become the embodiment of that which we mentally feed upon.”
The mental diet is extremely important. If you truly want to live a dream life, you need to create a world in your mind that is aligned with the fulfillment of your desires. Manifestation is not only about getting one thing you desire and then going back to the life you were living previously. It is about changing completely.
Notice your thought patterns, notice what you are assuming and imagining and change those things that do not align with your fulfilled desires.
Abdullah and Barbados
Now this is the most famous Neville story there is and, unless you’re new here, you’ve heard it a thousand times.
“You are in Barbados”
Neville was unemployed, lived in a tiny room in New York, and he wanted to go to Barbados.
Abdullah tells Neville, “As you walk through this door now you are not walking on 72nd Street, you are walking on palm lined streets, coconut lined streets; this is Barbados. Do not ask me how you are going to go. You are in Barbados. You do not say ‘how’ when ‘are there.’ You are there. Now you walk as though you were there.”
He kept repeating to Neville that he was already in Barbados, when he would complain that he had no money, “you are in Barbados” he would complain that he’s no closer to getting there “you are in Barbados” he asked how he would get there, “You are in Barbados.” That is all he would say. Because that’s all he needed. To believe he was already there. And once he did, everything aligned, and he went to Barbados. His family members begged him to come, gave him money for clothes and essentials he needed, his brother would pay for his entire trip, and then he somehow got into 1st class because somehow there had been a cancellation. He didn’t even move a finger to get all of this done for him. He didn’t even ask his brother for help. It simply happened.
“You are in Barbados, Neville. You want to be there; wherever you want to be, there you are. Live as though you are and that you shall be.” - Abdullah
“I was identified with the feeling of being there. I slept as though I were there, and the entire behavior of man was molded in harmony with my assumption.”
Identify with your fulfilled wish
“Feast on the idea [your fulfilled desire], become identified with the idea as though you were already that embodied state. Walk in the assumption that you are what you want to be. If you feast on that and remain faithful to that mental diet, you will crystallize it. You will become it in this world.”
Identify that which you desire to have in life (or who you desire to be), walk as though it is already true, assume it as your new state, and stick to your mental diet.
“Suspend judgment, refuse to accept what reason and the senses now dictate, and if you remain faithful to the new diet, you will become the embodiment of the ideal to which you remain faithful.”
You need to ignore anything that does not completely align with your fulfilled desire.
Logic and reason do not exist in imagination. The 4D world does not follow these rules. The 3D is lying to you by telling you that you are constricted within conditions.
“To one’s imagination all things are possible.”
“The dimensionally greater self took my assumption as the command”
Your 4D self, your inner man, is only there to take commands.
What you assume to be in your conscious mind and persist in, will be taken as a command by the 4D self and then manifested into the 3D.
Neville mentions that the only way you can genuinely believe in the law is by testing it. Don't simply listen to his lectures, read blog posts, and watch videos about the law of assumption. Actually apply the knowledge.
I have been reading up on Neville again after a really long time (It'll be about two years very soon) and I realized that I never truly understood the concept of forgiveness.
Forgiveness applies to everything. To you, to others, to the past, etc. The law of forgiveness is fundamental when practicing the law of assumption. It's essential in revision and regular manifestation because there is no one to change but self. What do I mean by this? First, let me talk about the concept of "no one to change but self."
Neville talks extensively about this in his lecture of the same name. (My notes on this lecture are coming soon). In summary, everything in your life (in your 3D experience) comes from you. Your state is constantly being projected onto the mirror of the 3D. People and experiences are showing you who you are being in this moment. This means that people are only ever reacting to your current state. If you want to change someone, then you must first change yourself, your state, and how you perceive this person in imagination. Trying to change the person through force will never work, just like how you cannot change your appearance by putting makeup on the mirror. You must first go inside your imagination and forgive this person of their sins. This means you forget anything they have done in the past that would go against your ideal version of them. If they wronged you before, no they didn't. You have forgiven them, so you forget it. You revise it. If you hold judgments and resentments towards someone or something, you are the only one being punished.
For example, if you desire to manifest a celebrity SP, you cannot go around seeing success stories and saying "they are lying, that's not possible." Rationality has no place in manifestation. So, by refusing to see them as they desire to be seen, you are denying yourself the possibility of this manifesting for you. Maybe it's jealousy, envy, or refusing to let go of the need to be rational. It doesn't matter. You must forgive and see others as they desire to be seen.
You are only ever failing yourself by being jealous, hateful, envious, negative, or rational about the experiences of others as well as yourself. By denying others the manifestation and realization of their own desires, you are keeping yourself from your own desires. Seeing others as they want to be seen is a kindness to yourself. So, the next time you want to say that someone is lying when they post a success story, or you feel jealous because someone else may have what you desire, forgive them and allow them to live their dream life because it will allow you to live your dream life as well.
Consciousness Is the Only Reality - Neville Goddard
I have heard time and time again that people find Neville's teachings to be too complicated to understand. I wanted to share some of my notes on his lectures and books as I re-read them. The point of this is to make it as easy to understand and accessible as possible. I linked the lecture above in case you want to read the actual lecture and you can use my notes as a guide if anything seems too convoluted or confusing.
All quotes are taken directly from the lecture.
Introduction
Before we begin, it’s important to mention that Neville bases his teachings on the Bible, which he says is meant to be interpreted as a metaphorical/allegorical text, rather than a historical text.
The Name of God
This lecture begins with Neville explaining the meaning of God’s name.
In short, it contains references to your I AM-ness (awareness), your imagination, your ability to feel as you desire to be and to take your desire out of the imaginary and reflect it onto the physical.
When you break down the name of God, it explains the foundation of reality, your consciousness.
“As you assume that you are that which you want to be, you have completed the name of God”
You have the power of creation within you.
“The question arises: What is God? God is man’s consciousness, his awareness, his I AM-ness”
You Become What You Are Conscious of Being and Dying to the Old State
Since your consciousness is the cause or the foundation of reality, then what you are conscious of being must be impressed upon the physical reality.
You have the power to leave behind your current state/undesired reality.
Your current reality has been created through consciousness, and you can leave it behind and recreate a new reality with anything that you desire.
You can die to the old state and create a new one. (You no longer become conscious of the old state--redirect your attention)
Story of Isaac and His Sons Esau and Jacob
The story of Isaac and his sons Esau and Jacob expresses the idea that your brain cannot tell the difference between what you experience in imagination and what you experience in the physical world.
For example, your brain expresses the same physiological and psychological reaction to you imagining a hug and hugging someone in real life.
If you place reality upon your imaginal acts and feel as though you are truly experiencing that which is taking place solely in your mind, then your brain believes that you are truly experiencing that.
Leave the physical alone, do not take action, and do not reason.
You leave the physical world alone and simply use your imagination to change your life
You do not have to worry about the physical manifestation of your desire, that is not your job. Your only job is to imagine that you have what you desire.
“In other words, you remain faithful to this subjective reality [that which you desire to manifest] and you do not take back from it the power of birth. You gave it the right of birth and it is going to become objective within this world of yours. There is no room in this limited space of yours for two things to occupy the same space at the same time. By making the subjective real, it resurrects itself within your world.”
You cannot occupy two opposing states -- you cannot believe one thing and also believe the opposite at the same time (ex. You can’t simultaneously believe the statement “I am rich” while also believing the statement “I am poor.”)
The only way you can stop a manifestation from being reflected in the physical is by not being faithful to your new reality (failing to die to the old state/continuing to be double-minded).
You will die to the old state simply by remaining faithful to the new one.
“Do not ask yourself how this thing is going to be. It does not matter if your reason denies it. It does not matter if all the world around you denies it.”
You never have to worry about how it will come to be, because that is not your responsibility. It will happen without any effort on your part. Your only job is to believe in the fulfillment of your desire. Everything else will be taken care of for you. You do not need to reason with it, you cannot let external circumstances get in the way of it, and you don’t need to think about what actions you need to take to “make it happen.” You do not need to do anything but remain in that fulfilled state.
SATS and Lullaby
State akin to sleep - the creative act.
A sensory experience that implies the fulfillment of your desire.
Remove your attention from the physical world, go into your imagination fully, and grant your imaginal act reality.
Don’t let the mind wander, make the imaginal act short and sweet, at the point of the fulfillment of your desire.
Minimal effort is the key, it should not cost you too much energy to fully experience your desire fulfilled.
Lullaby method
When you are nearing sleep, repeat a short phrase that implies fulfillment of your desire.
2-3 words that can easily be repeated without too much focus.
The point is to fall asleep while saying it over and over in your mind.
You No Longer Hunger For It When It Is Fulfilled
“When satisfaction is yours, you no longer hunger for it”
If you have successfully fulfilled the desire in imagination and you believe that it is yours, you no longer feel want of it, because you already have it.
You no longer think of it as separate from you.
You have granted it to yourself in imagination, then it is already yours, and there is nothing else to do but persist in that state.
Your Imagination Is The Cause
“Know that your consciousness is the only reality. Then know what you want to be. Then assume the feeling of being that which you want to be, and remain faithful to your assumption, living and acting on your conviction.”
Consciousness is the only reality -- it is the source of everything in the physical
“You draw from within yourself that which you now want to express as something objective to yourself”
All your manifestations come from you. You are drawing the fulfillment of your desires from within yourself, from consciousness.
If you can imagine it, then it is possible.
“Your consciousness is the mother-father, there is no other cause in the world”
Everything that happens in the physical world is caused and created by your consciousness.
There is no other cause than your I AM-ness/your imagination.
Since your imagination is the only cause, then the only way to change the outer world is through imagination itself.
“As I stand here, having discovered that my consciousness is God, and that I can by simply feeling that I AM what I want to be transform myself into the likeness of that which I am assuming I am; I know now that I am all that it takes to scale this mountain”
Neville says that you don’t need anything other than your consciousness/imagination to achieve anything you want. You don’t need money, luck, power, etc. You only need imagination.
How to Manifest
“Take the idea you want to embody, and assume that you are already it. Lose yourself in feeling this assumption is solidly real. As you give it this sense of reality, you have given it the blessing which belongs to the objective world, and you do not have to aid its birth any more than you have to aid the birth of a child or a seed you plant in the ground”
Define your objective (your desire), create an imaginal act that suggests the fulfillment of that objective, grant it reality, and persist in that new state.
You do not have to take any kind of physical action for it to manifest, you trust in your imaginal act and allow it to come to be on its own.
Do not wait to die to the old state and embody the state that you desire. If you desire something now, change your state now. Fulfill it within imagination the moment you feel it.
“When my world conforms to my assumption the prophecy is fulfilled”
You were always meant to use your consciousness to manifest your life. In this lecture, Neville is basically saying that the entire point of the Bible is to teach you how to manifest through allegory and metaphor.
