The Core Philosophy: Heart and Soul at Naked Bones
We source new apparel from wholesalers in the UK who trade fairly and ethically. Most materials are bought in London, as we believe in supporting local businesses and charities. Instead of canvas or paper we use basic apparel as the starting point for our creations. All garments will be altered and/or hand styled to become unique and one-of-a-kind, and we want Naked Bones to represent the desire to be unique and to stand out from the crowd.
We love to recycle, buy unwanted bundles of scrap material, left over leather and last season styles to combine and re-create something new and exciting.
Our Lost & Found Collection is an eclectic mix of vintage and second hand garments, fabrics and decorative items- collaged, customised and revived. The concept is to personalise the garment for the buyer, before they’ve seen it. We can spend days, even weeks, just looking at a garment before deciding what to do. Instead of customising to suit the buyer, the garment is completed in preparation for the buyer to find. A treat. A hidden Gem within the rail of clothing. We like the idea of using ‘found’ materials because it gives us the sense that we am making something from nothing, using discarded items/clothes that were once treasured and giving them a new purpose.
