"I was looking through my selfies last night and I realized I am beautiful. I’m pretty cute."

As I watched Selfie it broke my heart to hear what the girls (teens and grown-ups) had to say about themselves. The girls were adorable! The women were so naturally pretty! What an incredible lesson in how critically and differently we see our very own selves. It was amazing to see that some of the compliments people left on selfies were the "flaws" the girls saw in themselves. It can be so uncomfortable to look at ourselves. I admire these mothers and daughters for taking on this challenge (publicly no less). I'm inspired and hopeful that I can come to a realization and comfort level like they did. Thank you, Dove and everyone involved in Selfie, for helping to spread real images of real girls. Thanks for your encouragement to get comfortable in our own skin and appreciate each other.

so this is me without make up. Take a good look; it's rare that I don't put on eyeliner haha My sorority is doing something called The Naked Face Project this week. Each day we don't wear make up, we post the picture on our social media. It's to help promote an image to young girls that you can wear all the make-up you want, but you don't need it or revealing clothing to feel beautiful. It also helps to empower the girls to help show that wearing make-up is a CHOICE and if we choose to wear it, it's our own decision; we don't wear it for other people.
