As someone who only has access to the original American novels, I'm looking forward to all of your opinions about the movie! Some of you said Toteninsel is your favourite. I know nothing about the storyline, huhu. 😢

(I only know that the CIA is somehow involved? What! And that the movie is also adapted to the modern era which is very different from the original--you might have noticed that I really love the original 1960s setting and base my DDF fanfic timeline on this. From small-town boys in the 1960s to international crime-solvers in the 21st century! Wow!)

Then again, even in Robert Arthur's books, the boys did have international clients (and in Silver Spider they even went to Varania). So I guesssss anything is truly possible for these three. 😆

Let me tell you somthing. This fic has changed my life.

I never knew I needed Victorian!Kurtbastian in my life until I read this and now I NEED MORE OF IT.

Honestly. It has EVERYTHING. Snarky mis-beginnings, hurt, pain, longing, the slowest of slow burns ever, ALL THE FLUFF, amazing OCs whom I have now adopted as my children and just awesome KB goodness.

Kurt is a footman, Sebastian is an Earl and it is set in the mid 1800s and it is delicious.

I read the first 2 chapters on Wednesday, and then picked it up on Thursday and read through the night - finally finishing it at about 7am when I then had to get up and get ready for work.

It has been a LONG time since I found a story (fanfiction or otherwise) that has had this effect on me.

Please, please, PLEASE go and read this fic and give nalasan all the love for it! It is extremely well deserved.

Favorite Male Character: Pharaoh Atem (closely followed by Bakura, tbh)

Favorite Female Character: Mana and Mai

Least Favorite Character: I feel really evil for answering this for some reason but I guess Mokuba, like srsly, it irks me how gullible he is and how me manages to ALWAYS get into trouble and loses his soul

Favorite Ship: Vaseshipping (Atem and Mana are the cutest thing together, like the fact Atem didn't remember anything about his past but Mana's name speaks levels to me)

Favorite Friendship: All of them, but I guess that Atem and Yugi, if I had to choose, closely followed by the Pharaoh and Tea

Favorite Quote: Well, I can't do this in English either because I watched the Latin American Spanish dub, but I can attempt a translation. The I need your light, Yugi, because the darkness in me keeps growing line of Atem while battling with Yugi's soul in the Orichalcos arc.

Worst Character Death (if any): Well, it's not a death per se but when Yugi's soul gets trapped by the Orichalcos.

This made me so happy you have no idea Moment: when Mana and Atem are spending some time alone in the gardens, Mana telling him he's acting a little off, and also have I mentioned that scene in the manga when he just blurts out Mana's name the moment he sees her? ♥

Saddest Moment: when the Pharaoh loses the final duel and enters the afterlife, I spent the whole scene crying my eyes out.

Favorite Location: Ancient Egypt, and Battle City probably :)

But yeah I will get around to it eventually.

Yeah, just okay. Schullektüre halt. xD Wobei wir es nur ausschnittweise lesen mussten, weil es nicht auf dem Lehrplan stand. Ich mochte die Ringparabel - und ansonsten graut es mir, wenn ich es in Stadttheatern in den Spielplänen sehe, weil es häufig in brownface ausartet. (Nicht immer, Gott sei Dank xD) (UND HEY WIE PASSEND, VORHIN KAM "KÖNIGREICH DER HIMMEL" IM FERNSEHEN, BRB SHIPPING MOVIE!BALDUIN AND SALADIN <33333 14 year old me WAS SO INVESTED IN THIS! Which is weird considering we got Orlando Bloom making out with Eva Green and I am going for Lepper-King here, but eh, the ways of the Lord I guess)

I still think it's a must-read for kids and young adults. And yeah "The Prisoner of Azkaban" helped me get through Abitur (I watched the film like three times a day when I was studying for Religion xD) and Remus Lupin/Sirius Black TOTALLY RUINED MY LIFE, URGHS. <33333
