headcanon: skinny norris' car

i was researching on what skinny's "blue sports car" could be in the 1960s. and i found this beauty:

1964.5 ford mustang convertible in skylight blue!!!

what a beautiful car! it's flashy and yet quite practical, it can suit the "sports car" definition but also fit four people comfortably rather than just being a two-seater.

such a nice car to cruise under the california sun! skinny must've loved driving fast with the roof open, enjoying the breeze on his hair.

this car was launched in april 1964, so if we take the first book, the secret of terror castle to happen in summer 1964, this would've been a new car that turned heads everywhere.

so flashy, so drama, so skinny-coded. 𖹭

Close contender is the 1966 Ford Mustang in Acapulco Blue:

Though of course the version in the movie could be a custom, seen from the slightly different logo placement.

Ah well! Again, I'm not a car expert so I could be wrong, but this is so fun! Hope it's helpful for artists, authors, and enthusiasts alike!

"Our mental faculties need ceaseless enrichment," Jupiter frowned. "I should have brought a puzzle."

"Say," Bob said, pointing at a cave in the distance. "That reminds me of that coughing dragon case."

Jupiter perked up, his eyes glinting. "Indeed. Bob, what do you say about exploring that cave after lunch?"
