I felt the desire to try and make Pidge the same species as Blaytz. But the hard part is that it’s sometimes hard to translate a human character to something as intriguing as his species. But. I managed. I think. I hope. Instead of being blue, she’s a bluish-green colour; I aimed for a seafoam colour, so I hoipe it went well. And! She gets to wear pinks and purples! My brain has ideas where she would be Blaytz’s niece and he just fawns over her. He’s proud of his adorable genius niece.  Also! She has goggles she wears at times instead of glasses.  And a tail.

Just Imagin her classmates(mainly the bullys) were Nalquadi, and picks on pidge for having a tail and Vinny comes to the rescue.

Sorry for the lack of Nalquadi Vinny doodle. Coming up with designs is not always easy.

Anyway! Pidge's bullies picking on her for her tail would probably be jealous. Most likely her tail helps her in swimming, giving her further control and even speak as she goes through puberty and into adulthood. Vinny would probably think her tail is awesome.

On another note, many adults, like Blaytz, probably think she's absolutely adorable, especially since she's kept her tail. It's probably uncommon/rare and adds to the cute factor, much to her protest about being cute.

So, after answering an ask, I realized I did have a Nalquadi Pidge drawing that I had started but never finished. So I decided to finish up, which was mainly background and shading.  I had originally started her back in February according to the data. I thought I had her sitting there longer. Hmm. But! Here we are! Finished!

What started as just drawing Pidge looking like Trigel/Trigel’s species now became drawing the paladins as their predecessors’ species. Good Ra! This was a lot to work with but I feel so proud and really enjoy the outcome. I don’t know yet if this will become yet another AU or not, but who knows. At least I have them drawn and I love them! To no surprise, Pidge is my favourite of the group.

But it doesn’t just stop with the designs! I had to draw a comic to follow!

Good throw, Shiro!  Mama would like to remind us that it’s not right to toss the dwarves (she doesn’t know about canon Pidge’s Monsters and Mana character), but it’s too funny to pass up. As for the “Still alive!” and “It’s still early.”, I got that from The Croods; I love that banter. 

Also! While me drawing heights is inconsistent, especially in comic doodles, I do have this!
