7, 13 & 17! 😁
Thanks for the asks, @nalydeight!
7: Scarves or Berets? Answered this one here.
13: Trick or Treat? Tricky treats! I’m such a sucker for foods that look like one thing but are another!
17: Plaid or Neutrals? Plaid, for sure.

you didn’t explode, right?!?!?!?
Lol no sorry I didn’t update! First he brought the downstairs neighbor who runs the convenience store. While they were away, I noticed there were instructions and I started to point them out but got shooed away and asked where my “husband” was. Then they came back with this dude who was pretty obviously drunk, but after a lot of “hons” and running back & forth from the thermostat he got the pilot light lit. Then he started shouting random nonsense Japanese at the two guys (who are Chinese). Before leaving he asked me “Who’s this?” pointing at my landlord and I said “My landlord. Who tf are you?” and he said “Oh I was just in the store.” TL/DR my heat got fixed by a random drunk racist.
18, 62 & 99, please and thank you
Oooh, thanks @nalydeight! Excellent questions, as always!
18: Phobia: Water. I’m terribly afraid of being submerged in water, even to the point of not taking baths. I’ve had no trauma or other “reason” for not being able to go in the water, but there it is.
About two years ago I started going out a little further each time when we went to the beach and I got as far as just above my knees in a little tiny inland lake with almost no waves. Anything more than that freaks me out.
I’ve had several people offer to take me into the water, to hold my hand and keep me safe, but I have yet to have an opportunity to go to the water with someone I truly trust.
62: Have you ever felt an earthquake? I have not! Earthquakes aren’t really a thing where I live and I haven’t spent much time in places where they do happen.
99: Have you ever met someone who didn’t seem real? There have been a few people over the years that seemed like more illusions than real memories after the fact, but for the most part, no.
Thanks again for the great questions!
Ice cream asks: toffee and butterscotch if you’d please
Thank you so much, @nalydeight!
Toffee: A card game that you’re good at? Phase 10 and UNO and solitaire are my favorites! Gram was always quick to pull out the cards after dinner and I have spent countless hours at her table, shuffling and laughing and playing with various family members.
I enjoy card games and play them often with my kids, too. My everyday bag always has a deck of playing cards in it and currently also has DOS.
Butterscotch: What color are your nails right now? My fingers are Mineral Fusion’s Matte Mulberry and my toes are Sally Hansen’s Slicks and Stones.

Thanks again for the great ask!
ooooo 38!
Hey, thanks so much, @nalydeight!
38: My childhood career choice: Oh, there were so many! The ones I felt most strongly about were teacher, truck driver, and cryptozoologist.
I was the oldest of my siblings and often the “leader” of my friend group, so teaching things was something I just fell into naturally. I had thoughts of making it into a career.
My uncle was a long haul trucker and he always had stories of these amazing places and people he’d met. I wanted that, to explore and travel and experience life the way he did.
And I’ve always been fascinated by cryptids, so as I grew up a little bit more and learned about urban legends and “monster” sightings, I wanted to combine my loves into a career that would let me explore and learn and teach while tracking these incredible creatures around the globe.
Thank you for the great ask!!
My eyes landed on 25 first, so how about that one?
Wow, @nalydeight, this is a great question!! Thank you!
25. If you had one year left to live, what would you want to do in the next 12 months? Oh man… I guess I’d probably cry first. Gotta take some time to process and accept it all, you know?
After that, I think I’d write letters to my children and other important people in my life. I want them to have my words to look back on when things are hard and I’m gone and I want them to have that tangible expression of my love.
I’d give away everything I own that might hold value to someone else and arrange for the rest of my things to be donated or otherwise given away at the end of my life.
I would want to travel enough to spend time with every friend I’ve made on here (that’s comfortable meeting in person - no pressure) and I’d hug them tight until they knew, without a doubt, that they are special, important people who have added joy and value to my life.
I’d spend time with my family (biological and otherwise), playing cards and laughing and taking photos.
And I would fight every single injustice and act of hate or bigotry I saw. Death comes for us all and knowing it’s coming soon means I would be less afraid, I think.
Obviously no one truly knows how they’d react until they were in the situation, but this seems pretty “me.”
Thank you so much for the fantastic ask! I’d love to know your answer, too, if you want to share.
the hanged man (tarot ask)
Hey, thanks @nalydeight! Another great ask!
The Hanged Man: Favorite movie soundtrack? Oh man, oh man… I don’t know… I love so many movie soundtracks!! For sheer number of songs I love, probably the 1984 Footloose or 1978 Grease.
But… I also love a ton of Disney soundtracks and random others, like Hairspray and Dream a Little Dream and I know it’s a play, but the original cast recording of Phantom of the Opera is one of my all time favorites!
Thanks for the fantastic ask! Let me know yours, too, if you want to. I’m always up for music recommendations!
@nalydeight, tumblr still won't let me direct send this, so here you go! The top few from my Most Played list on my phone.
