spare me some change? - @namanarri
Grocery stores were cute and fun in this city too. So far, there was nothing Hajime didn’t like about this place! Everything was so neatly organized into the shelves, and the colors came together in such an aesthetically pleasing way, that when Hajime first stepped into the store, she had to stop for a moment and just admire it. She let out a squeal and threw her arms in the air, hopping for a moment.
People around her stared, but she didn’t care, and instead she hummed to herself as she made her way through the aisles. Before long, her steps took her to the stationary aisle, unconsciously, she’d say, and it was there that she found the notebook of her dreams. It was a small thing, big enough to fit in a pocket, orange with a little bunny and carrot embossed on the cover.
She squealed again, likely making whoever was next to her jump. She had to have the money for this, right? She just had to! Hajime began to dig widly through her pockets, throwing out the miscellaneous contents of them onto the floor as she pulled out coins. She counted outloud to herself, only to find that she was a dollar short.
“Ohhh no!” She yelped again, her shoulders slumping. How could she buy it now? She took a couple of looks around her, until her gaze settled on a young boy near her, who had to be close to her age. A slightly devious smile crawled onto her lips as she tiptoed towards him.
“Hiii! Hey, do you have like a dollar I could borrow? I gotta buy this totally cute notebook but I’m just a dollar short!! Pleaaase?”
“Just look at how cute it is, aaaaa!”
