Klaus doesn’t make eye contact, standing awkwardly in the street where he’d been stopped, hands shoved deep into his pockets. The ordinarily vivacious, lively teenager had been rendered almost mute by what had happened to him. The blood from his nose and lip had been wiped across his face in a failed attempt to rid his face of the evidence. He doesn’t know this woman, but she asked how he was. She was interested... that wasn’t something Klaus could say about many people in his life. So after some hesitation, he drums up the courage to speak.

“Just... a disagreement with some guys over... how a guy should dress.”

Managing a watery smile, Klaus gestures down to the skirt (his sisters skirt, that he’ll never be able to return, particularly not now it was torn,) and laughs- though the amusement doesn’t reach his eyes. “Nothing broken just... bruises and a split lip...”

Sam still had been totally pissed. He was forced to attend this ball. He’d been already arraigned to marry Princess Melinda since they were kids. Spending every summer together. Against his will. He sighed as he put on his best outfit and was forced into a room where he sighed and crossed his arms. Only when he turned, he didn’t see the annoying girl that bothered him. He saw a beautiful woman....

Alizair had been at his bartending job for a while, luckily the owner was one of few humans who knew about his world. He got his late hours and he could work as a bouncer. So he could keep an eye on everyone and make sure no one was getting harassed. He was mixing a drink when he spotted a lone girl near the bar. He tilted his head before serving the drink and getting a glass of water, taking it over to her. “You look a little lost, sweet thing.”

It wasn’t like he could sense whenever someone used magic just because Vlad was a magical creature himself. He just... kind of had a hunch. A weird feeling he just shrugged off and continued hunting. It didn’t take long for him to feel blood in the air. Human blood. He followed the scent, almost as if gliding through the forest in incredible speed, he got to see a monstrous creature attacking a woman with such force it knocked her out. Without a second thought Vlad attacked it and managed to scare it off. Now he was left with an unconscious woman on his hands.

Sitting in an armchair and reading a book he patiently waited for the woman to wake up. He had carried her to his home, lied her on his couch and treated her wounds. One thing he noticed right away - her blood wasn’t quite human, there was something else to it and it made him curious.
