“I’m really sorry the kids caused you so much trouble.” Really, it’s Annabeth’s job to keep them in line, and she feels guilty for the havoc her students have caused. “I’ll repair whatever damage they caused. They’re just.... very enthusiastic.”

jack sat in a cafe, fully engrossed in the small child in his arms as she babbled away about --- well, he couldn’t quite tell what her babblings were about, but he loved them anyway and responded whenever she broke off. “a banana does taste like lemon!” he agreed, knowing that anyone who happened to overhear would shake their head at such nonsense. 

the little girl wore a tardis-print dress, hand-sown by ianto, with a matching blue bow over her hair. her discarded pram sat nearby with an ood plushie waiting for her.

    The sound of her office door opening brought forth a sigh from the blonde’s lips. All she wanted was one evening to finish her paperwork and then the term was essentially over. But she had some reevaluating to do if her students couldn’t read the clearly marked office hours on the side of the door. “The results of the final will posted in the morning. I’m not telling anyone early.” Silence made her finally look up at the person intruding on her quiet. Wasn’t one of her students which raised a variety of questions. A brow arched, the only tell of her curiosity, “Can I help you?”

            “You know, just showing up whenever it’s handy for you is really annoying.” Lily was a woman of schedule. Stay on top of school work, maintain her social standing and all the rest. The Doctor coming and going as she pleased really threw a wrench in her neatly planned out days. “So why are you here now?”

Nate leveled his gun at the humanoid creature approaching him. Firing off a shot, it made a metallic clank when it hit center mass. And then it kept coming.

He backed up against the warehouse wall. Looking from side to side, he realized he was cornered there, with the metal man peering soullessly through black circular eyes.

Nate felt the blood drain from his face when he realized that whatever it was would kill him before he could find out who sent it, and with it running some sort of electrical interference, he couldn't even warn the others that it was in the building with them.

Well, maybe he could.
