But Ace not recognizing anyone other than Sanji from the picnic they crashed is kind of hilarious Tatch and Matco know the boy was so smitten at first sight he didn't even perceived them.

Also Luffy recognising Sanji immediately pouting asking why they cut their pretty hair and ending it with a big smile and a "well but if Sanji says they like it it's ok". Zoro and Nami completely blind going "ohh they used to have long hair , wonder what it looked like"

No, you're so right. Like Ace joins the fleet and Marco and Thatch are both trying to jog his memory of them, and like everyone else knows it via them and Sanji telling it so many times because 'Remember that time those jungle brats interrupted our picnic? Good times.' and it just never clicking for the kid.

'Til he sees that blinding smile and now everyone is giving him so much shit for it. White Beard is laughing at the kid who was so smitten he didn't even register Sanji as his step-child. He's wheezing as he calls his husband who also fucking loses it. Ace never lives it down, he sees Sanji after the time skip and watches Rayleigh and Shaky contemplate about them and is just glad he's not the only one.

Then there's Luffy, seeing them again with their hair so much shorter than it was last time he saw them. It makes him pout and ask why which Sanji waves off easily. It grows fast, give it a month or two and it'll be back to their shoulders. It's easier to manage this way and Luffy nods.

"Well if you're happy with it!" Luffy laughs and Sanji smiles back. Zoro and Nami ponder to what it looked like. Only to be hit by it in Wano while Izou is putting their hair up and they're staring at them. Hair nearly down to their waist now as Izou starts putting it up and Marco is laughing at the looks on their faces.

thought it’d be nice to make a little valentine's event for one piece rarepairs! hope everyone has fun with it!!

forgot to note: OTP day is for your one piece OTP and does not need to be a rarepair!!

another fun suggestion: it would be great if you could explain why you ship your rarepair! e.g. what appeals to you about it, why you find their (possible) interactions interesting, theory on why it could be canon, or even just that they have matching colour schemes etc (crack ships are welcome!!)
