Luang Prabang is located in the north central area of Laos, more specifically on the peninsula between the historic Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. There are only 4 roads in this UNESCO World Heritage City, and the main one offers a scenic view of these clean and flowing rivers. Not content merely viewing them from the road, I waded into them just like the locals, the monks, and the few brave travelers, knowing that these rivers were, and still are, vital parts of this country's history and culture. I also did not pass the opportunity to wander into Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, around 30 kilometers south of Luang Prabang. The 50-meter main waterfall flows into the spectacularly turquoise-colored lake, which simply took my breath away. #MekongRiver #NamKhanRiver #TatKuangSiWaterfalls #LuangPrabang #Laos #UNESCOWorldHeritageCity #backpacking2015 #norestforthewanderer ##Travel #Adventure #Backpacking #Wanderlust #Wanderings #TravelInspiration #TravelTips #TravelLesson #Journey #JourneyOfLife #JourneyOfFaith #YOLO #FOMO #JOMO 😎 (at Luang Prabang) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3WD7TgBo1_/?igshid=wt440vrpkw4u
