Yeah, I asked about 2 people tag their posts with trigger warnings. One of them said they would and apologized and the other hasn't responded to me yet, so we'll see. If they don't, you can always get xkit and block the post, which is generally what I do.

exactly! and i mean, they are not young people. if they can tag 'kami-sama hajimemashita', they obviously should be able to tag trigger warnings. and don't even get me into snk fandom, i saw text posts and actual ART WORKS with tons of notes about
A lot of them probably don't know about trigger warnings tbh - I mean, I didn't know what they were until I can to tumblr, but at the same time, like learn? If someone asks, just please do it so that you don't accidentally send someone into a bad space.
Drawn or not, that scene was fucking terrifying for me to see and just seeing it pop up randomly in the tag when i'm not prepared for it is ugh.

to be honest, after yelling at some people, i just got sad like. can't you see what is wrong here. can't you see this scene is not needed, or can't you see it is not a healthy ot3. sigh
The thing is, a lot of them are never going to fully get it. they're going to hide behind "it's fiction" even though those same arguments and attitudes silence real rape/sexual assault survivors in the real world as well. And tbh, there are lots of things in fiction that I like that I would never condone in real life, but I would never try to talk over the people who find it disturbing, especially if it something that can be considered disturbing.
I battle with myself a lot - should I approach this in an angry way when I'm going to possibly alienate people who I otherwise could have reached. But then again, considering that I am a survivor why shouldn't I be angry just because it's fictional? Why shouldn't I be angry when people make triggering comments/photosets/jokes and just completely refuse to understand why what they did might've been wrong? Or don't have the foresight to add a trigger/content warning?
I don't know, I don't have the answers for that - but I don't think it's wrong that we get angry or frustrated with fandom for this. I don't like to kink shame people, or get on their case for what they like. But, like seriously, understand that what you like is not removed from reality, and understand that what you're saying can be harmful without trigger warnings/etc, especially when placed in a main tag.
