Halloween in Nanba prison
who the fuck thought it was a good idea to have any festivities happen at all with those idiots?
okay Nico, Rock and Uno annoyed the guards so much until they had no choice but to say yes
they are so shook when Jyugo tells them he never celebrated before
so they definitely need to make this a big thing
Rock is on snack duty (duh) but he gets into stupid arguments with Uno over what kind to make since both want traditional ones
Rock wins in the end since Halloween originated in his home country and just swept over to the UK
Nico is on decoration duty and has Yamato to help, Jyugo needs to come along for GPS reasons
Hajime refuses to dress up in any sort of way
he hatessss the holidays, any kind
his brother visits him all dressed up as a cute ghost
he brought cat ears for Hajime and tells him to dress up as Kuu-chan
and because it´s his brother in the end Hajime does
cell 13 do a group cosplay as the guards: Jyugo is Hajime and has to fight off his friends the whole day to keep his hair, Uno gets to be Seichiro, Rock is Yamato and Nico is Samon (but with a special twist that will be explained in the bonus section^^)
Hajime gets forced to eat sweets and just....too much sugar for this poor man, he is on the floor begging for some water but Nico just gets him more soda since that´s his favorite
Yamato keeps telling japanese ghost stories about yokais
and the rest also tell native ghost stories
it´s all fun and games until they realize that Jyugo is the biggest fucking scaredy cat
they are responsible for decorations
Samon hates Halloween and it only gets worse when he sees how excited everyone is
he assigns different groups of his inmates to decorate the different buildings
purposely leaves out building 13 because he´s petty like that
and just because of that he goes over to building 13 once every group returned
actually they did a great job with the decorations, they adapted it to the aesthetics of their respective building
they even decorated the warden´s office and she got super excited over it (mostly because Liang worldessly handed her a little cap and mini vampire teeth for her Hajime plush)
he is absolutely pissed and puzzled when he sees the chaos that are the decorations of building 13
they are all over the place and they certainly overdecorated
at first Samon sees that as his win and taunts Hajime like: yeah knew you losers couldn´t decorate properly
Hajime just deadpans: well it was your job to do it and you didn´t which isn´t a surprise
then he just boasts about how well behaved his inmates are and how Samon could never get them under control
usually Hajime doesn´t indulge Samon with petty banter like this but today he´s in a mood to piss him off (which works)
so basically Samon is just yelling at Hajime in building 13 and Liang and Upa hang out at building 13 too cause they wanna taste the American Halloween candy that Nico told them about
they take pumpkin carving to the next level
overall building 3 goes way too hard on Halloween because they are too competitive and arrogant for their own good
they also have way too many pumpkins in the end and decide to get some of them to the other buildings so they have decorations
but since normal pumpkins would be too boring they carve the faces of the different guards of the respective buildings
and because they´re all petty as shit tehy make them ugly
all their other pumpkins have cute bats and fangs and Halloween themed things that are just nice to look at
but the ones that get delivered to the other buildings....not so much
actually Kiji is petty enough to send building 5 a pumpkin with Hajime´s face and delivers it personally to Samon just so he can record a video of him smashing it to pieces and then send it to Hajime
next he does the same, just delivers a Samon pumpkin to Hajime but he just shrugs
in the end he just puts it somewhere but forgets about it until he accidentally steps on it
now he spends the rest of his day trying to get the pumpkin off his shoe while Kiji is just laughing his ass off (ofc he got it on tape)
Honey and Trois dress up as classy vampires and think they´re the hottest shit in town but in reality they just throw on that cheesy cape and frilly shirt
they also put on makeup on everyone who wants to, so there are a bunch of cats, tigers and butterflies running around by the end of the day
Mitsuru is just having the time of his life
for one he´s ofc commenting everything that happens in every building
building 8 goes way too hard on that
to make things more fun he costumizes those creepy doll things so that they´re not lethal but he still lets them loose just for the fun of it
I mean he knows the inmates just always need some sort of violence
so every building competes who can beat up the most dolls
like a mini tournament but there´s no real prize
so let´s talk other costumes
Mitsuru dresses up as his favorite musician
the warden struggles so much because she wants to look cool but also attractive
she just beats up Mitsuru for even thinking about suggesting her dressing up as a sexy nurse
however in the end she does because Hajime is dense and they had the worst timing in the past so she takes her shot
also carries around a giant syringe
needless to say flirtation isn´t successful on spooky night either
and now my personal highlight:
Nico and Musashi have partner costumes
everybody from cell 13 teased Nico about looking like a mummy
and usually he pouts a bit at that and is a bit hurt by it
but one time Musashi hangs out with them and overhears that comment
he just goes: oh actually I don´t have a costume idea for Halloween yet, so why not do a partner costume?
he gets super into it and does some zombie walking as well
teaches Musashi how to do it too and both of them just walk like that the entire day
